WHY MOST PREACHERS MISS THE MYSTERY (Ephesians 3:7–9)

INTRODUCTION

Paul declares a truth hidden from ages and generations—“the Mystery” (Eph. 3:9). This Mystery is God’s revelation of the Body of Christ, the new creation formed by Jew and Gentile in one body through the gospel of grace (Eph. 3:6). Sadly, most of Christendom never rightly divides Scripture (2 Tim. 2:15), mixing Israel’s prophetic program with the Body’s Mystery program.

This sermon exposes why so many pastors miss the Mystery, and why believers must discern truth instead of blindly following tradition.

THE CALL OF THE MYSTERY — Paul’s God-Given Assignment

(Ephesians 3:7)

A. A Divine Designation – Eph. 3:7

Paul was “made a minister” by God, not by men.

He was given the responsibility to “fulfil the word of God”—the Mystery revelation.

(Romans 11:25)

THE CHARGE OF THE MYSTERY — Our Duty to Defend and Declare It

(Ephesians 3:9)

Make all men see the Mystery—not some, but all.

Teach and warn in wisdom, rightly divided.

We are ambassadors, sent with a distinct message for this age.

CONCLUSION

The Mystery is not a side topic—it is the centerpiece of God’s program today. Ignoring it brings confusion. Understanding it brings clarity, stability, and spiritual fruitfulness.

You cannot follow Christ today without following Paul’s doctrine for today.

Study the Mystery—don’t depend on tradition.
Speak the Mystery—declare Paul’s gospel boldly.
Stand for the Mystery—defend truth even when unpopular.
