𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
The word Dispensation (Ephesians 1:10; Ephesians 3:2) means a stewardship, administration, or arrangement by which God deals with man in different ages of history. To rightly divide the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15) is to understand God’s plan across time without mixing Israel’s program with the Church’s program. Without dispensational understanding, confusion reigns; but with it, clarity shines.

𝗗 – 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 (Ephesians 1:10)

Purpose Planned – God set dispensations in His eternal wisdom.

Periods Placed – Different ages of testing throughout history.

Program Preserved – All centered in Christ.

𝗜 – 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟'𝗦 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 (Romans 9:4–5)

Covenant Confirmed – God gave them promises.

Chosen Channel – Messiah came through them.

Conditional Covenant – Law given specifically to Israel.

𝗦 – 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 (2 Timothy 2:15)

Divide Doctrines – Distinguish Law vs. Grace.

Dispense Duties – Apply the right command to the right people.

Discern Distinctions – Earthly vs. heavenly callings.

𝗣 – 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟'𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 (Romans 11:13)

Apostle Appointed – Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles.

Pattern Presented – His life is a model of grace (1 Timothy 1:16).

Program Proclaimed – Gospel of the Grace of God (Acts 20:24).

𝗘 – 𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗠𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗗 (Ephesians 3:2)

Stewardship Shown – Paul was given the dispensation of grace.

Service Supplied – Ministers are stewards of mysteries (1 Corinthians 4:1).

System Structured – God’s orderly administration through ages.

𝗡 – 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Regeneration Realized – Believers are new creatures in Christ.

Righteousness Received – Not by Law but by faith (Romans 3:22).

Rest Renewed – In grace, not works.

𝗦 – 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗕𝗬 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗘 (Ephesians 2:8–9)

Faith Foundation – Saved through faith, not works.

Finished Fact – Cross-work of Christ is complete.

Free Favor – A gift, not earned.

𝗔 – 𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 (Romans 6:14)

Law Lifted – We are not under the Law.

Liberty Lived – Freedom from bondage of sin.

Life Led – By the Spirit, not rituals.

𝗧 – 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗗 (2 Timothy 2:15)

Study Strongly – Command to rightly divide.

Stand Soundly – Avoid shame by misinterpretation.

Speak Surely – Teach sound doctrine.

𝗜 – 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 (Ephesians 1:13–14)

Sealed Securely – Spirit seals believers until redemption.

Sanctified Spiritually – Spirit works holiness in us.

Supplied Strength – Spirit empowers service.

𝗢 – 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 (1 Corinthians 14:33)

God of Order – He works through specific arrangements.

Gospel Ordered – Kingdom gospel vs. Grace gospel.

Glory Oriented – All ends in Christ’s glory.

𝗡 – 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗛 (Galatians 3:28)

Partition Pulled Down – Jew and Gentile in one Body.

People Positioned – Church is heavenly, Israel is earthly.

Program Particular – Different promises for Israel vs. the Church.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
Dispensations reveal God’s wisdom in history. The Law had its place, the Kingdom has its promises, but today we are in the Age of Grace, revealed through Paul. To confuse dispensations is to corrupt doctrine, but to rightly divide is to stand in truth.

𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Study Diligently – Don’t just read, rightly divide (2 Timothy 2:15).

Stand on Grace – Don’t mix law with grace.

Share the Gospel – Proclaim salvation by grace through faith alone.

Dispensations show Divine Design.
They explain Israel’s Importance.
They require Separation of Scriptures.
They highlight Paul’s Preaching.
They reveal the Economy of God.
They give us a New Nature.
They stress Salvation by Grace Alone.
They clarify the Age of Grace.
They demand Truth Rightly Divided.
They show the Indwelling Spirit.
They maintain Order of Operations.
They distinguish between Nations and the Church.
