“𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘”

“𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘”

Galatians 5:16 – “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:

In this dispensation of grace, believers are no longer under the Law but under the Spirit. The Spirit of God indwells every believer, enabling him to live victoriously over sin. Yet many Christians walk defeated lives because they confuse Law with Grace and flesh with Spirit. Paul reminds the Galatians—and us today—that walking in the Spirit is the true key to victorious Christian living.

This walk is not mystical—it’s practical, personal, and powerful through the indwelling Holy Spirit in the Body of Christ.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞 (Gal. 5:16)

“Walk in the Spirit...” — A clear instruction for the believer’s conduct.

A. The Path of Obedience — Eph. 5:2

“Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us.”
Obedience to the Spirit leads to true fellowship with Christ.

B. The Power of the Spirit — Rom. 8:9

The Spirit empowers the believer to do what the flesh cannot.

C. The Pattern of Christ — 1 John 2:6

“He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.”

Dispensational Truth: We walk not by commandments written on stone, but by the Spirit written in our hearts (2 Cor. 3:3).

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗛 (Gal. 5:17)

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit...”

A. The Reality of the Battle — Rom. 7:23

The flesh and Spirit war within every believer.

B. The Resistance of the Flesh — Rom. 8:7

“The carnal mind is enmity against God.”

C. The Responsibility of the Believer — Col. 3:5

We are to mortify the deeds of the body through the Spirit.

Dispensational Truth: In this present Age of Grace, victory comes not by self-effort but by spiritual dependence.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 (Eph. 5:18)

“Be filled with the Spirit.”

A. Controlled by His Presence — John 16:13

He guides into all truth, not error.

B. Changed by His Power — 2 Cor. 3:18

Transformation from glory to glory comes by the Spirit.

C. Confirmed by His Peace — Col. 3:15

The peace of God rules when the Spirit reigns.

Dispensational Truth: The filling of the Spirit replaces the external Law system with internal grace operation.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 (Gal. 5:19–23)

The works of the flesh versus the fruit of the Spirit.

A. The Corruption of the Flesh — Gal. 5:19–21

The old man’s works are visible and vile.

B. The Character of the Spirit — Gal. 5:22–23

Love, joy, peace—fruits only grace can produce.

C. The Crucifixion of the Flesh — Gal. 5:24

Believers have crucified the flesh with its affections.

Dispensational Truth: Fruit-bearing today is not by striving under Law but by abiding in Christ (Rom. 7:4).

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦 (Gal. 5:25–26)

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

A. Unity in the Body — 1 Cor. 12:13

One Spirit baptizes us into one Body.

B. Understanding in Love — Eph. 4:3

The Spirit unites believers through peace.

C. Uprightness in Conduct — Phil. 1:27

“Let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ.”

Dispensational Truth: The Spirit maintains the unity of the Body of Christ — not the Law, rituals, or ordinances.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 (Rom. 12:1–2)

Walking in the Spirit leads to a yielded life.

A. A Living Sacrifice — Rom. 12:1

The believer presents himself to God.

B. A Liberated Mind — Rom. 12:2

Renewed by the Spirit through the Word of Grace.

C. A Lasting Transformation — 2 Cor. 5:17

“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”

Dispensational Truth: The Spirit sanctifies believers apart from legalistic performance, unto spiritual service.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧 (Col. 2:10)

“And ye are complete in Him.”

A. Our Position in Grace — Eph. 2:6

We sit with Christ in heavenly places.

B. Our Power through Grace — 2 Tim. 2:1

“Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”

C. Our Peace because of Grace — Rom. 5:1

“Being justified by faith, we have peace with God.”

Dispensational Truth: In the Age of Grace, believers are not striving for acceptance—we already stand complete in Christ.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡:

Walking in the Spirit is not about mystical emotion but about divine submission.
The Law demanded righteousness from man; Grace imparts righteousness to man through the Spirit. When we yield to Him, we live as heavenly citizens even in an earthly world.

𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:

Stop striving and start surrendering!
Yield daily to the Holy Spirit—through prayer, Word, and obedience.
Let the Spirit lead your walk, rule your mind, and fill your heart.

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” — Gal. 5:25

𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦:

The Spirit guides believers in truth.
The Spirit guards against the flesh.
The Spirit grows fruit in grace.
The Spirit governs our walk.
The Spirit glorifies Christ in us.
The Spirit gathers unity in the Body.
The Spirit grants victory for eternity.

“𝗧𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀” (Eph. 2:10).
