𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

"Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:" -

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

In the Old Testament, God worked through Israel as His chosen nation, giving them covenants, promises, and the Law. Gentiles were “aliens from the commonwealth of Israel” (Eph. 2:12). This separation was symbolized in the temple by the middle wall of partition, warning Gentiles to stay out. But now, through the cross, that wall has been broken down. In the Body of Christ, there is no distinction. Jew and Gentile are reconciled into one new man. Let us explore what this means today in the dispensation of grace.

𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗

The wall symbolized the separation between Jew and Gentile under the Law (Eph. 2:14).

𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗦

Gentiles were outsiders — strangers, without hope, without God (Eph. 2:12).

𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗘𝗪𝗦

Israel had the covenants, promises, and access to God’s blessings (Rom. 9:4–5).

𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗟

The Law served as a divider, keeping Israel distinct until the appointed time (Gal. 3:19,24).

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

It fostered enmity, distance, and alienation between Jew and Gentile.

𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧

Christ “is our peace” — His cross broke down the dividing wall (Eph. 2:14–16).

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Both Jew and Gentile are reconciled “in one body by the cross” (Eph. 2:16).

𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟

Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles, revealed the mystery of Jew and Gentile in one Body (Rom. 11:13; Eph. 3:1–6).

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘

Today, God deals with all people equally in the Body of Christ (Gal. 3:28; Col. 3:11).

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦

Now we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father (Eph. 2:18). No temple wall, no distinction.

𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬

Believers today are to live out that oneness, showing love and equality in Christ (1 Cor. 12:13).

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗬

In the Body of Christ, all are joint-heirs, awaiting the blessed hope of the PreTribulation Rapture (1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Rom. 8:17; Titus 2:13).

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

The middle wall of partition once kept Gentiles away, but in Christ, the wall is gone. The cross didn’t just save us from sin — it saved us from separation. Jew and Gentile now stand together in the Body of Christ, equal, reconciled, and awaiting glory.

Recognize the wall that Christ tore down

Rejoice in your access to God’s presence

Remember your past as Gentiles without hope

Receive the reconciliation of the cross

Rest in the peace Christ provides

Rely on the Spirit who gives access

Reflect unity in the Body of Christ

Resist division and prejudice

Respond to Paul’s unique apostleship

Reach out to both Jew and Gentile with the gospel

Remain steadfast in grace

Rejoice in the blessed hope of glory
