𝗧𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗩𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗧𝗛

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Salvation is instant, but spiritual growth is progressive. Just as a child develops in stages, so does a believer in Christ. Paul often rebuked churches for staying carnal (1 Cor. 3:1–3), urging them instead to grow up into Christ (Eph. 4:15). Dispensational truth reminds us that maturity comes by rightly dividing the Word (2 Tim. 2:15), walking in grace, and being established in Paul’s gospel.

𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

It begins with trusting Christ’s finished work (1 Cor. 15:1–4). Without this foundation, no growth is possible.

𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

A new believer learns to separate from sin and worldly patterns (2 Cor. 6:17), focusing on holy living.

𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Growth requires daily intake of the Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16–17). Feeding on milk first, then meat.

𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Developing a consistent prayer life rooted in grace, not law, (Phil. 4:6).

𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Learning to yield to God’s will and authority of Scripture above self (Rom. 12:1–2).

𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Progressive holiness through the Spirit’s work (1 Thess. 4:3), walking differently from the world.

𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Using spiritual gifts and opportunities to edify the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:7).

𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

True maturity requires willingness to give up self, time, and comfort for the gospel (Phil. 3:7–8).

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Becoming unmovable in doctrine, not tossed about with every wind of teaching (Eph. 4:14).

𝗦𝗨𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Recognizing trials refine maturity (2 Tim. 3:12, Rom. 5:3–4). Suffering strengthens character.

𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

A mature believer boldly proclaims the mystery of the gospel (Eph. 6:19–20).

Reaching maturity means being firmly rooted in Christ, built up and established in faith (Col. 2:7).

Spiritual maturity is a process, not a one-time event. Each stage builds on the other until we are established, strengthened, and settled in Christ. God’s desire is not just to save us, but to grow us into faithful, fruitful, and firm saints.

Start with salvation
Separate from sin
Study the Scriptures daily
Speak to God in prayer
Submit your will to His
Seek sanctification
Serve others in love
Sacrifice self for Christ
Stand steadfast in doctrine
Suffer for the gospel joyfully
Share the gospel boldly
Stay stable in Christ

The measure of true maturity is not knowledge alone, but Christlikeness in action (Eph. 4:13). Which stage are you in today—and are you pressing forward to grow in grace?
