THE TRUTH ABOUT CHRISTMAS: A MESSAGE FOR THOSE READY TO SEE
Many of us grew up believing Christmas is a holy celebration of Yahushaโs birth. But when we finally examine Scripture and history, a very different story appearsโone that opens our eyes to truth the world has long ignored.
This is not about attacking peopleโฆ
This is about separating truth from tradition and honoring Yahuah the way He desires, not the way culture dictates.
1. Christmas Did NOT Begin as a Celebration of Yahusha
There is no command in Scripture to celebrate Yahushaโs birth.
There is no verse revealing the date of His birth.
There is no apostle who celebrated it.
There is no early believer who kept it.
The celebration of December 25 came hundreds of years later, when the Roman Empire tried to merge paganism with growing Christianity.
Historical Facts About December 25
Before Christianity adopted it, December 25 was the date of:
Saturnalia โ a Roman festival honoring Saturn.
Customs included feasting, gift-giving, greenery, candles, singing, and lawlessness.
Dies Natalis Solis Invicti โ โBirthday of the Unconquered Sun.โ
This was the celebration of the sun god, marking his โrebirthโ after the winter solstice.
Roman historians themselves wrote that the date was chosen because it matched these pagan festivalsโnot because it had anything to do with Yahusha.
2. Christmas Traditions Are Adopted from Pagan Worship
Evergreens, candles, wreaths, mistletoe, feasts, exchanging giftsโthese were all part of ancient pagan solstice festivals.
Yahuah warned His people clearly:
โDo not learn the way of the nations.โ โ Jeremiah 10:2
Jeremiah 10 even describes people cutting a tree, bringing it into the house, decorating it with silver and gold. Though modern Christmas trees are commercialized, the origin matches ancient customs used for idol worship.
โDo not worship Yahuah the way they worship their gods.โ โ Deuteronomy 12:30โ31
But thatโs exactly what happened:
Pagan practices were rebranded and renamed โChristian.โ
3. Yahusha Was NOT Born in December
Scripture gives important clues:
Shepherds were out in the fields with their flocks at night.
Luke 2:8
In Israel, shepherds do NOT stay outside with sheep in winterโit is cold and rainy. They bring the animals into shelters.
The census forced people to travel.
Luke 2:1โ5
Rome did NOT schedule long-distance travel in winter because it was dangerous and impractical.
The timeline of Zechariah reveals Yahushaโs true birth season.
Luke 1 describes Zechariah serving in the temple during the course of Abijah, which places the conception of John the Immerser around June.
Six months later (Luke 1:26), the angel announces Yahushaโs conceptionโplacing His birth in the autumn, during the time of the Biblical Fall Feasts.
Many scholars agree:
Yahusha was most likely born around the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles), not winter.
4. But Sincerity Does Not Change Pagan Origins
People say:
โChristmas is what you make it.โ
โItโs about Yahusha for me.โ
But Yahuah is not honored by worship that comes from traditions He never commandedโespecially those rooted in paganism.
โIn vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.โ โ Matthew 15:9
โWhat fellowship has light with darkness?โ โ 2 Corinthians 6:14
Yahuah wants worship that is set apart, not mixed.
5. The Truth Sets Us FreeโIf We Are Willing to See It
Christmas is not Scriptural.
It is not commanded.
It is not the birth of Yahusha.
It was built on pagan foundations and later repackaged.
Many celebrate it innocently.
But innocence cannot rewrite history.
Now that you see the truthโyou are responsible for what you know.
Yahuah is calling His people back to His appointed times, not the traditions of men.
Come out of her, My people.โ โ Revelation 18:4
May this message open eyes, soften hearts, and awaken truth-seekers everywhere.
Not to condemnโbut to lead back to Yahuah and His pure, original ways.
Truth is not popularโฆ but it is liberating.
