The Seven (7) Dispensations in the Bible

1. Innocence
(Genesis 1โ€“3)

Before the Fall โ€” Adam and Eve were innocent and had direct fellowship with God.

2. Conscience
(Genesis 4โ€“8)

After sin entered โ€” people lived according to their conscience, but sin multiplied.

3. Human Government
(Genesis 9โ€“11)

After the Flood โ€” God gave man the authority to govern and execute justice.

4. Promise
(Genesis 12โ€“Exodus 19)

God called Abraham and gave him promises, based on faith, not law.

5. Law
(Exodus 20โ€“Cross)

God gave the Law through Moses โ€” blessings for obedience, curses for disobedience.

6. Grace
(Crossโ€“Rapture)

The current dispensation revealed to Paul โ€” salvation by grace through faith in Christ, apart from works.

7. Kingdom (Future)
(Revelation 20)

When Christ returns and rules visibly in His 1,000-year Kingdom (the Millennium).

โ€ข We are now under the Dispensation of Grace, not Law.

โ€ข Paul is the apostle of this dispensation (Ephesians 3:2).

โ€ข Rightly dividing means understanding that God's instructions under Moses (like Sabbath-keeping, sacrifices, etc.) do not apply today โ€” we follow Paul's gospel of grace.
