THE SECRET THAT DESTROYED SATAN

From eternity past, God did not need to overpower Satan through force - after all, God could have destroyed him at any moment.

He defeated him through silence and wisdom, by withholding a single truth:
The Mystery of Christ and the Body of Christ - Satan's replacement.

This divine secret in conjunction with Satan’s own pride caused Satan to engineer his own destruction. Satan's followers are falling for the same trap

1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1. The Origin of Satan’s Fall: Pride, Beauty, Self-Exaltation

His pride and claim to be God

Isaiah 14:13-14 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

In Ezekiel 28, God speaks against the king of Tyre - but then moves beyond any mere man, describing a being who was in Eden - an anointed cherub. It is not a coincidence that this being is exalted and worshipped by most cults (free masons) today worship Hiram/King of Tyre in some shape or form distorting Scriptures from 2 Samuel/1 Kings/1 Chronicles

Ezekiel 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God.

Ezekiel 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee.

This mirrors the spirit of Antichrist- declaring himself to be God.

His original beauty and position

Ezekiel 28:14–15 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

He was created beautiful, wise, and exalted, reflecting God’s glory - until pride and iniquity were found in him.

Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

His judgment

Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Isaiah 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever

God will ultimately destroy him; the “fire from the midst” pictures judgment arising from his own rebellion.
Ezekiel 28:12–17

Satan (the anointed cherub) was:
• full of wisdom
• perfect in beauty
• covered in precious stones
• placed in Eden
• blameless until iniquity was found in him
Pride corrupted his wisdom (v. 17).
His own inflated glory blinded him.
Isaiah 14:13–14
He declared:
• “I will ascend into heaven”
• “I will exalt my throne above the stars of God”
• “I will be like the Most High”
This self-exalting spirit is the same spirit that blinds all his followers today.

2. God’s Brilliant Strategy: Defeat Satan by Keeping a Secret - Let him defeat himself...

God knew Satan’s weakness: pride makes the wise become foolish.
Therefore, He hid the one truth Satan could never afford to discover:
Romans 16:25 the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began”
Ephesians 3:9 the mystery… hid in God”
Colossians 1:26 the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations

What was hidden?
That Christ’s death would save the nations apart from Israel and her covenants - simply by grace through faith in Christ's finished cross work
That God would form one new man (Eph. 2:15) New Creature to reconcile the Heavens
That believers would be seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6)
That the Body of Christ would share Christ’s heavenly position
That salvation would come apart from Israel’s kingdom program

God let Satan believe killing the Messiah would secure his own throne - while the heavens were unreconciled and the nations were in rebellion, satan still had dominion
Instead, killing the Messiah destroyed him and his power of death.

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil

1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

3. The Cross Was the Trap - Satan Took the Bait

1 Corinthians 2:7–8 We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom… for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

The cross was Satan’s greatest mistake.
He:
• empowered Judas
• stirred the Sanhedrin
• manipulated Rome
• orchestrated the crucifixion

Believing that death could hold the Messiah, satan already had the Gentiles, he had Israel – on the whole, they rejected and crucified their Messiah - but he never once imagined that it would actually destroy him.
Colossians 2:15 Christ “spoiled principalities and powers” and made a show of them openly, triumphing over them by the cross.

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil
Revelation 1:18 I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death

Satan’s defeat was not by confrontation or force.
It was by deception - his own deception driven by pride and rebellion.

4. Why Satan Hates the Mystery of Christ

The Mystery exposes:
How Satan’s plan backfired
How the cross redeemed the very people he thought he controlled
How God now seats the Body of Christ far above all principality replacing him and his fallen angels (Ephesians 1:20–23)
How God bypassed Israel’s fall to save the Gentiles (Rom. 11:11–12)
How a new, heavenly organism - the Body of Christ - are now heirs with Christ
How Satan will ultimately be crushed (Rom. 16:20)

Every line of mystery truth is a declaration of his defeat.
He hates Paul’s message because it reveals: How God outmaneuvered him from the beginning simply by keeping His plans to reconcile the Heavens a secret.

5. The Prophetic Scriptures Foretold Satan’s Fall, But Not His Defeat Through the Cross
Prophecy revealed:

Isaiah 14:15 Thou shalt be brought down to hell…
Ezekiel 28:18–19 I will bring thee to ashes… never shalt thou be any more.

Prophecy never revealed how Satan would fall.
His final defeat was attached to a truth he never saw coming:
Gentiles saved apart from Israel, through the cross, into a heavenly body.
That was hid in God, not in prophecy.

6. God Allowed Satan to Destroy Himself
All God had to do was:
• remain silent
• hide the mystery
• let Satan’s pride drive him
• let prophecy unfold
• let Satan crucify the One whose death doomed him

God did not need to defeat Satan forcefully.
He simply let Satan defeat himself.
The cross was the divine mousetrap.
The bait was the seemingly vulnerable Son of God - who made Himself of no reputation, taking on the form of a servant to save helpless sinners like you and me (Philippians 2:6-11 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father..)
Satan lunged.
The trap snapped shut - his defeat sealed

Summary

• Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14 reveal Satan’s pride, beauty, fall, and ambition.
• Prophecy revealed his doom but not the method of his defeat.
• The Mystery- kept hidden from Satan- was the trap God set.
• Through the cross, Satan engineered his own destruction.
• Through the Mystery, God formed a heavenly Body Satan never foresaw to replace him.
• Satan hates Paul’s message because it reveals his humiliation and exposes God’s wisdom that outsmarted him from the foundation of the world.

All God had to do…
was keep a secret.

Ephesians 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God

Unfortunately, in our day the mystery of the Body of Christ, the dispensation of the grace of God, and the distinct apostleship of Paul to us Gentiles remains a mystery to the majority, not because God hid it, but because men prefer pride, tradition, and religion over the plain truth of Scripture. The Majority reject the gospel of grace and attempt to establish their own righteousness through works, rituals, and the traditions of men. I hated the hypocrisy of religion all my life but thanks be to God, He opened my eyes through fulfilled prophecy and Paul's epistles.

The saving gospel today is so simple: BELIEVE 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
How that Christ died for your sins according to Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day for your justification.

This is historical fact and Scriptural truth, and God promises eternal life to every sinner who trusts Him.
Believe the Gospel and you are saved, sealed and delivered in an instant. But like Satan, the majority will choose their own way, their own works, the wisdom of men over the truth of Gods Word and the traditions of religion over simple faith to their own destruction - a sad reality .....

Proverbs 17:24 Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
