โTHE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL โ ITโS ALL GOING TO PERISHโ
THE PERIL OF POSSESSIONS
A Dispensational Warning Against the Love of Money
INTRODUCTION
Money itself is not evil. Scripture never says that.
What Scripture condemns is the LOVE of money (1 Tim. 6:10).
In the Dispensation of Grace, believers are called to live with eternal priorities, not earthly obsession. Satan does not need to make believers immoral if he can make them materialistic. When the heart clings to riches, the soul drifts from Christ.
Paul, our apostle, gives a clear warning:
Wealth is temporary
Desire is dangerous
Eternity is permanent
Let us examine this truth through rightly divided Scripture.
1. THE ROOT PROBLEM โ PERVERTED PRIORITY
(1 Timothy 6:10)

(Matthew 6:24)
B. Master Conflict โ You cannot serve God and mammon

C. Moral Corruption โ Love of money leads to all kinds of evil
2. THE REALITY OF RICHES โ TEMPORARY AND TARNISHED

(James 5:2โ3)

(Luke 12:15)
B. False Security โ Trust placed in money instead of God
(Proverbs 11:28)
C. Faith Weakening โ Confidence shifts from Christ to cash
4. THE RESULT OF RICHES โ PAIN AND PIERCING

(Ecclesiastes 5:10)

(Hebrews 13:5)
C. Self-Inflicted Wounds โ Money enslaves instead of serves

(Philippians 4:11)
B. Simple Sustenance โ Food and clothing are enough
(1 Timothy 6:8)
C. Secure Supply โ God meets every need
(Philippians 4:19)

(1 Corinthians 4:2)
B. Sharing Mentality โ Ready to distribute, willing to communicate
(1 Timothy 6:18)
C. Submission to God โ Trust the living God, not uncertain riches
8. THE REDEEMING TRUTH โ SALVATION IS NOT FOR SALE

B. Wealth Vanishing โ Earthly systems will burn
(Revelation 18:17)
C. Will of God Abiding โ Only eternal things remain
CONCLUSION
Money is a toolโbut love turns it into a tyrant.
The believerโs hope is not in prosperity, possessions, or paychecks, but in Christ alone.
Satan deceives by saying:
โYou need more.โ
God declares:
โYou already have everything in Christ.โ
Donโt trade eternal riches for temporary rust.
CALL TO ACTION
Check Your Heart โ Is money serving you, or are you serving it?
Choose Contentment โ Christ is enough
Chase Eternity โ Invest in what will never perish
FINAL THOUGHTS
Money makes a poor master but a good servant.
What you love most will control you.
Only whatโs done for Christ will last forever.
