𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

(Rightly Dividing the Word to Avoid Doctrinal Confusion)

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Bible is a progressive revelation, not a single, simple rulebook for all ages.
When men fail to rightly divide the Word, they end up wrongly dividing the truth.

There are different gospels mentioned in Scripture — not because God changed His truth,
but because God’s program and audience changed across dispensations.

Paul wrote: “Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.” (2 Timothy 2:7)
Failure to consider Paul’s distinct gospel leads to confusion, corruption, and condemnation (Galatians 1:6–9).

Let’s study the four distinct gospels shown in God’s plan, and why right division is essential to right doctrine.

POINT 1: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗗𝗢𝗠 — 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟

A. The Messengers — Declared by the Prophets and Preachers of Israel

Matthew 3:1–2 — John the Baptist said, “Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Matthew 4:17 — Jesus proclaimed the same message, continuing God’s earthly plan for Israel.

B. The Message — The Coming of a Literal Kingdom

Luke 1:31–33 — Christ was to sit on David’s throne and rule over Israel forever.

This gospel was national and political, preparing Israel for her King.

C. The Manifestation — Confirmed by Signs and Wonders

Matthew 9:35 — Healing and miracles verified the nearness of the kingdom.

The kingdom gospel was prophetic, not mystery — it depended on Israel’s repentance.

Dispensational Truth:
The Gospel of the Kingdom was for Israel before Calvary, offering the earthly reign of Christ — rejected, postponed, and now on hold until after the Church Age.

POINT 2: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗗 — 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗛

A. The Messenger — Revealed to the Apostle Paul

Acts 20:24 — “The ministry... to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”

This message was not taught by Jesus during His earthly ministry, but revealed to Paul after the Cross (Galatians 1:11–12).

B. The Message — The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Christ

1 Corinthians 15:3–4 — Salvation by faith alone, in the finished work of Christ.

This gospel brings spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3), not an earthly kingdom.

C. The Mission — Reconciliation for All Mankind

2 Corinthians 5:18–20 — The believer is now an ambassador of reconciliation.

It’s a message of grace, not government; heavenly hope, not earthly throne.

Dispensational Truth:
This is the only saving gospel in effect during the Church Age — the Mystery Program, revealed through Paul to the Body of Christ.

POINT 3: 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 — 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛

A. The Misrepresentation — Distorting the Gospel of Grace

Galatians 1:6–7 — “There be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”

False teachers mixed law with grace, corrupting salvation.

B. The Manipulation — Ministers of Satan in Disguise

2 Corinthians 11:13–15 — “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

These “ministers” preach religion, not redemption.

C. The Misapplication — Mixing the Programs

Acts 15:1 — They taught, “Except ye be circumcised... ye cannot be saved.”

Blending the Kingdom Gospel with the Grace Gospel leads to doctrinal disaster.

Dispensational Truth:
“Another gospel” is not another true message — it’s a counterfeit gospel, combining Israel’s law with the Church’s liberty.

POINT 4: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 — 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

A. The Messenger — Declared by an Angel

Revelation 14:6–7 — An angel preaches “the everlasting gospel” to all nations.

This occurs after the rapture, during the Tribulation period.

B. The Message — Fear God and Give Him Glory

This gospel is not about grace through faith alone, but about worship and judgment — a call to recognize God’s sovereignty before His wrath is poured out.

C. The Moment — During the Time of Wrath

Matthew 24:14 — “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world... and then shall the end come.”

It’s a return to Israel’s program, prophetic, not mystery.

Dispensational Truth:
After the Church is caught up, God resumes His prophetic dealings with Israel — the Everlasting Gospel prepares the nations for Christ’s Second Coming and Kingdom reign.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 — “RIGHT DIVISION IS THE BRIDGE BETWEEN REVELATION AND REALIZATION”

God never contradicts Himself — man does, when he refuses to rightly divide His Word.
The Gospel of the Kingdom, the Gospel of Grace, and the Everlasting Gospel each have their own audience, timing, and message.

When the Church preaches Israel’s gospel, it confuses salvation with submission, and grace with government.
The Grace Gospel alone saves today — through faith in the finished work of Christ.

𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 — “DIVIDE THE WORD, DEFEND THE TRUTH, DECLARE THE GOSPEL!”

STUDY DILIGENTLY — Be a workman that needs not be ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15).
STAND DOCTRINALLY — Guard the Gospel of Grace entrusted to Paul (2 Timothy 1:13–14).
SPEAK DEVOTEDLY — Preach Christ crucified, risen, and glorified (1 Corinthians 1:23).

> If you fail to divide the Word, you will divide the truth — but when you rightly divide, you rightly declare God’s plan.

𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦:

The Gospel of the Kingdom — Israel’s hope of an earthly throne.
The Gospel of Grace — The Church’s message of heavenly salvation.
Another Gospel — Satan’s imitation that confuses and condemns.
The Everlasting Gospel — God’s declaration of His eternal dominion.
