THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICE

(The Cross Through the Lens of Pauline Grace)
Key Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)
β€œHow that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…”

INTRODUCTION

The cross is often viewed emotionally, traditionally, or religiouslyβ€”but Paul reveals its full meaning doctrinally. In this Dispensation of Grace, the cross is not merely an example of loveβ€”it is the finished work that secures salvation without works.

To truly thank Jesus, we must believe, understand, and proclaim what His sacrifice accomplished.
Today, we will examine 9 Pauline truths of the Cross, rightly divided.

SUBSTITUTIONARY SACRIFICE
2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)

A. Sinless Substitute – Christ knew no sin
B. Sin Imputed – Our sin placed on Him
C. Righteous Standing – His righteousness given to us
Dispensational Insight:
Salvation is imputation, not imitation.

SHED BLOOD
Romans 3:25 (KJV)

A. Blood Required – Sin demands death
B. Blood Revealed – Propitiation declared
C. Blood Received – Faith alone applies it
Dispensational Insight:
No sacramentsβ€”only blood and belief.

SUFFICIENT PAYMENT
Hebrews 10:14 (KJV) (doctrinally applied)

A. Once Offered – No repetition
B. Fully Finished – Nothing lacking
C. Forever Effective – Eternal security
Dispensational Insight:
Grace does not need maintenance.

SEPARATION ENDURED
Galatians 3:13 (KJV)

A. Curse Carried – Law’s penalty borne
B. Cry Uttered – God-forsakenness
C. Condemnation Ended – No curse remains
Dispensational Insight:
The believer is never forsaken in Christ.

SATISFIED JUSTICE
Romans 5:9 (KJV)

A. Wrath Appeased – God satisfied
B. Judgment Passed – Sentence executed
C. Justification Granted – Declared righteous
Dispensational Insight:
God is just AND the justifier.

SEALED SALVATION
Ephesians 1:13–14 (KJV)

A. Gospel Believed – Faith alone
B. Spirit Given – Immediate sealing
C. Security Guaranteed – Until redemption
Dispensational Insight:
Salvation is sealed, not probationary.

SUPREME RESURRECTION
Romans 4:25 (KJV)

A. Death Proven Defeated – Tomb empty
B. Doctrine Validated – Gospel confirmed
C. Destiny Secured – Resurrection assured
Dispensational Insight:
No resurrection = no gospel.

SEATED SAVIOR
Ephesians 2:6 (KJV)

A. Work Completed – Christ sat down
B. Believers Positioned – Heavenly places
C. Victory Shared – Already accomplished
Dispensational Insight:
We fight from victory, not for it.

SAINT’S ASSURANCE
Romans 8:38–39 (KJV)

A. No Separation – Eternal union
B. No Condemnation – Judgment removed
C. No Doubt – Everlasting life
Dispensational Insight:
Grace gives assurance, not anxiety.

CONCLUSION

Jesus did not merely die to inspire usβ€”He died to save us completely. His blood paid it all. His resurrection proved it all. His grace secures it all.
To say β€œThank You, Jesus” is to rest fully in His finished work.

CALL TO ACTION

β€œHe that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life.” – John 3:36 (KJV)

FINAL THOUGHTS

The cross was bloody, because sin is serious
The resurrection was necessary, because faith must be grounded
Grace is free, because Christ paid it all
Thank You, Jesus… not just with wordsβ€”but with faith in Your Gospel.
