𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧

𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧

(Colossians 2:10–12)

𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

In Israel’s program under the Law, physical circumcision was a covenant sign given to Abraham’s descendants (Genesis 17:10–13). But in this Dispensation of Grace, God performs a spiritual circumcision, not made with hands, the moment a sinner believes the gospel (1 Cor. 15:1–4).

This operation—performed by Christ Himself—separates us from the power of the flesh and places us into His death, burial, and resurrection (Col. 2:11–12).

Because of this divine operation, we are complete in Christ—lacking nothing for salvation, identity, or standing before God.

** 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
(Christ Personally Performed It)

Colossians 2:11 – “Circumcision made without hands… by the circumcision of Christ.”

A. Divine Operation – Not man’s effort but God’s work.
B. Done Without Hands – Spiritual, invisible, supernatural act.
C. Delivered at Salvation – Occurs immediately when we trust the gospel.

** 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
(Separating the Sinner from the Old Sinful Nature)

Colossians 2:11 – “Putting off the body of the sins of the flesh.”

A. Separation From Sin – The old man loses dominion.
B. Severing of Slavery – Sin no longer rules the believer (Rom. 6:6).
C. Setting the Saint Free – We can walk in newness of life.

** 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
(Placed Into Christ’s Death and Resurrection)

Colossians 2:12 – “Buried with Him… risen with Him.”

A. Buried With Christ – Old identity crucified.
B. Born With Christ – Resurrection life supplied (Rom. 6:4).
C. Bonded to Christ – Eternal union with Him (1 Cor. 6:17).

** 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧
(Believers Are Made Fully Complete)

Colossians 2:10 – “Ye are complete in Him.”

A. Complete Salvation – Nothing lacking, nothing missing.
B. Complete Standing – Fully accepted in the Beloved (Eph. 1:6).
C. Complete Security – Sealed and safe forever (Eph. 1:13).

** 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗛
(The Old Man Was Cut Away From the New Man)

Romans 6:6 – “Our old man is crucified with Him…”

A. Flesh Defeated – The power of sin broken.
B. Flesh Denied – We choose to walk in the Spirit (Gal. 5:16).
C. Flesh Dethroned – It no longer controls the believer.

** 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
(Spiritual Circumcision Belongs to the Body of Christ)

Ephesians 3:2 – “Dispensation of the grace of God…”

A. Different From Israel – Their sign was physical; ours spiritual.
B. Directed to the Body – Truth revealed through Paul (Rom. 16:25).
C. Distinctive for Salvation – No rituals required—only faith.

** 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗡
(Living Out What Christ Has Already Done)

Colossians 3:10 – “Put on the new man…”

A. Walking in Newness – Lifestyle aligned with our new identity.
B. Working in Godliness – Grace flowing into daily conduct.
C. Witnessing Boldly – Our completeness empowers our testimony.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍

Spiritual circumcision is God’s supernatural operation, cutting away the old man and placing us into the risen Christ. Because of this operation, we do not work to be complete—we work because we are complete.
This truth belongs uniquely to the Body of Christ and gives us confidence, victory, and assurance.

Stand boldly in your complete identity in Christ!
Study the revelation of the mystery that explains this truth.
Stop living like the old man, and start walking as the new man!

① You are complete—don’t live incomplete.
② You are circumcised spiritually—don’t return to fleshly living.
③ You are in Christ—walk in what He has already done.
