𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛

𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛

𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

In every dispensation, God gave man revelation, responsibility, and requirement. But in the Dispensation of Grace, the central command for the believer is not sacrifices, signs, or Sabbaths—
but STUDY and RIGHTLY DIVIDE the Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15).

Rightly dividing is not dividing the Bible into “true vs. false,” but dividing truth from truth—
Israel’s program from the Body of Christ’s program, prophecy from mystery, law from grace.

A believer cannot be strong, stable, or scripturally sound without right division.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 (2 Timothy 2:15a)

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God…”

A. A Required Discipline – Study is a command, not a suggestion.

(Acts 17:11)

B. A Reverent Duty – We study to be approved unto God, not man.

(Col. 3:23)

C. A Resulting Doctrine – Study produces sound doctrine for this dispensation.

(1 Tim. 4:13)

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 (2 Timothy 2:15b)

“…rightly dividing the word of truth.”

A. A Scriptural Separation – Prophecy vs. Mystery (Rom. 16:25).

Israel’s program vs. Church’s program.

B. A Spiritual Safeguard – Prevents confusion between law and grace.

(Rom. 6:14)

C. A Sound System – Truth must be handled according to God’s timeline.

(Eph. 3:2)

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 (2 Timothy 2:16)

“Shun profane and vain babblings…”

A. A Corrupt Message – Mixing law and grace produces false doctrine.

(Gal. 1:6–9)

B. A Creeping Misery – Error spreads “like cancer” (2 Tim. 2:17).

Doctrine spreads downward if not corrected.

C. A Confused Masses – People stray from truth without right division.

(Eph. 4:14)

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 (2 Timothy 1:13)

“Hold fast the form of sound words…”

A. A Chosen Apostle – Paul received revelation directly from Christ.

B. A Church Apostle – His doctrine builds the Body of Christ.

(Rom. 11:13)

C. A Christ-Honoring Apostle – His gospel exalts grace alone.

(Acts 20:24)

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 (1 Corinthians 10:32)

“Give none offence…to the Jews, the Gentiles, nor the church of God.”

A. A Nation Distinct – Israel under prophecy.

(Deut. 7:6)

B. A New Creation – The Body of Christ under mystery.

(Eph. 2:15)

C. A Necessary Division – God has different instructions for each group.

(Gal. 2:7)

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗘 (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

“All scripture is…profitable…”

A. A Perfecting Profit – Scripture matures the believer.

B. A Purifying Profit – Scripture cleanses wrong thinking.

C. A Preparing Profit – Scripture equips for service.

“…that they strive not about words to no profit…”

A. A Guard Against Error – Keeps the believer from spiritual traps.

B. A Guide Toward Edification – Right dividing edifies, not destroys.

(Rom. 14:19)

C. A Grounding in Stability – Produces believers “stablished” in truth.

(Rom. 16:25)

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍

Rightly dividing is not optional—it is essential.
You cannot interpret the Bible correctly without it.
You cannot understand the Bible dispensationally without it.
You cannot walk in grace truthfully without it.

Right division is the key to unlocking the Scriptures for this present age.

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

1. STUDY the Word diligently—truth feeds stability.
2. SEPARATE prophecy from mystery—truth requires distinction.
3. STAND against vain babblings—truth demands courage.

𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒

Right doctrine requires right division.
Right division requires right study.
Right study results in right living.
The Bible is written for us, but not all to us.
Paul’s epistles are the pattern for this age.
Mixing programs leads to confusion.
Clarity comes only through rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
