POST THE TRUTH β€” THE WATCHMAN ON THE WALL

(Faithful Witness in the Dispensation of Grace)

INTRODUCTION β€” A CALL TO COURAGE

Truth has never been popular. From the prophets of Israel to the Apostle Paul, God’s messengers were rejected, ridiculed, and resisted.

In this Dispensation of Grace, believers are not called to please the crowd but to proclaim the truth rightly dividedβ€”even when it costs friendships, reputation, and comfort.

2 Timothy 4:2 β€” β€œPreach the word; be instant in season, out of season…”

PROCLAMATION OF TRUTH
2 Timothy 2:15; John 17:17

A. Declared Clearly – Truth spoken plainly
B. Divided Correctly – Scripture rightly divided
C. Delivered Faithfully – No compromise
Dispensational Insight:
Truth must be rightly divided or it becomes misleading.

POSITION OF THE WATCHMAN
Ezekiel 33:7; Romans 11:13

A. Appointed Responsibility – God assigns the role
B. Alert Perspective – Seeing danger ahead
C. Announced Warning – Sounding the alarm
Dispensational Insight:
While Ezekiel spoke to Israel, today’s watchman warns by Pauline truth.

PERSECUTION FOR TRUTH

2 Timothy 3:12; John 15:18

A. Hatred Expected – The world resists light
B. Hostility Experienced – Truth confronts error
C. Honor Remembered – Suffering for Christ
Dispensational Insight:
Persecution is not failureβ€”it is faithfulness.

PRESSURE TO BE SILENT
Acts 4:18–20; Galatians 1:10

A. Social Rejection – Unfriended and mocked
B. Spiritual Intimidation – β€œTone it down”
C. Subtle Temptation – Seek approval
Dispensational Insight:
Grace does not silence truthβ€”it strengthens conviction.

PERSISTENCE IN SOUND DOCTRINE
2 Timothy 1:13; Titus 1:9

A. Holding Fast – Guarding truth
B. Healthy Teaching – Sound doctrine only
C. Holy Boldness – Speaking without fear
Dispensational Insight:
Sound doctrine is anchored in Paul’s epistles.

PAULINE PATTERN OF MINISTRY
Acts 20:24; 1 Corinthians 4:16

A. Finished Course – Faithful to the end
B. Fearless Witness – Counting life as nothing
C. Focused Message – Gospel of grace
Dispensational Insight:
Paul is the pattern believer for today.

PRICE OF FAITHFULNESS
2 Corinthians 4:8–10; 2 Timothy 4:16

A. Loneliness Endured – Others may leave
B. Loss Accepted – Reputation sacrificed
C. Lord Remembered – Christ stands with us
Dispensational Insight:
Earthly loss is outweighed by heavenly reward.

PURPOSE OF OPPOSITION
Philippians 1:12; Romans 8:28

A. Gospel Advanced – Truth spreads
B. Believers Strengthened – Faith refined
C. God Glorified – Grace magnified
Dispensational Insight:
Opposition often amplifies the truth it tries to silence.

PROMISE OF REWARD
2 Timothy 4:7–8; 1 Corinthians 3:13–15

A. Crown Awaiting – Righteous reward
B. Commendation Coming – β€œWell done”
C. Christ Honored – Faith rewarded
Dispensational Insight:
The Judgment Seat of Christ rewards faithfulness, not popularity.
