𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗩𝗦. 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟

𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗩𝗦. 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟
Text: Galatians 1:6–12; Romans 2:16; 2 Corinthians 11:3–4

𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
We live in an age where many preach “a gospel,” but not the Gospel of Grace. Paul warned that even in his day, some “pervert the gospel of Christ” (Gal. 1:7). Today, confusion reigns because men mix Israel’s Kingdom Gospel with Paul’s Grace Gospel.

In the Dispensation of Grace, the Lord revealed to Paul “the Gospel of the Grace of God” (Acts 20:24)—a message different from the Gospel of the Kingdom that Christ and the Twelve proclaimed to Israel. The danger arises when people fail to rightly divide these truths, resulting in perverted gospels that corrupt grace with law, faith with works, and revelation with religion.

Let us examine the difference between Paul’s Gospel and the Perverted Gospel, and why it matters for every believer today.

𝗜.. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 (Galatians 1:11–12)

— Divine Revelation vs. Human Tradition

A. Revealed by Christ – (Gal. 1:12)

Paul’s gospel came directly from the risen, glorified Christ.

Not from man’s wisdom, but Christ’s Word.

Not from Jerusalem’s apostles, but Heaven’s revelation.

Not from earthly teachers, but the ascended Lord.

B. Received by Conversion – (Acts 9:3–6, 15–16)

Paul was saved and sent by the same revelation.

He met the risen Lord, not the earthly Jesus.

His call was unique, not universal.

His commission was heavenly, not kingdom-bound.

C. Recorded for the Church – (Romans 16:25–26)

This gospel was hidden in ages past but now revealed.

The mystery was once concealed.

The message is now clear.

The ministry belongs to the Body of Christ.

𝗜𝗜. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 (1 Corinthians 15:1–4)

— Christ’s Finished Work for the Body of Christ

A. Christ’s Death for Sin – (1 Cor. 15:3)

He died for our sins according to the Scriptures.

Death as substitute.

Sacrifice as sufficient.

Salvation as secure.

B. Christ’s Burial for Separation – (v. 4a)

Burial signifies sin put away forever.

Sin buried, not brought back.

The old man crucified.

The law fulfilled and finished.

C. Christ’s Resurrection for Salvation – (v. 4b)

Resurrection seals our justification.

Risen for our righteousness.

Raised for our redemption.

Revealed for our reconciliation.

𝗜𝗜𝗜. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 (2 Corinthians 11:3)

— Grace Alone, Faith Alone, in Christ Alone

A. Faith without Works – (Romans 4:5)

No mixture of merit or Mosaic law.

Faith is believing, not behaving.

Grace is given, not earned.

Salvation is received, not achieved.

B. Forgiveness without Ordinances – (Colossians 2:13–14)

No baptism, confession, or ritual saves.

Ordinances were nailed to the Cross.

The believer is complete in Christ.

Salvation is spiritual, not ceremonial.

C. Freedom without Bondage – (Galatians 5:1)

Grace frees; law enslaves.

Stand fast in liberty.

Serve through love.

Stand against legalism.

𝗜𝗩. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 (Galatians 1:6–9)

— Distorting Grace through Deception

A. Confusing the Programs – (Matt. 28:19–20 vs. 2 Cor. 5:18–20)

Mixing Israel’s kingdom commission with the Body’s grace commission.

The kingdom gospel was prophetic.

Paul’s gospel was mystery.

Blending both breeds error.

B. Combining Faith and Works – (Gal. 3:1–3)

Adding law nullifies grace.

Works of law cancel faith.

Fleshly performance corrupts truth.

Carnal religion chokes the Spirit.

C. Counterfeiting the Message – (2 Cor. 11:13–15)

Satan imitates the light to deceive.

False apostles preach false Christs.

Religious systems pervert revelation.

Only right division guards truth.

𝗩. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗦 (Galatians 2:7–9)

— The Gospel of the Circumcision vs. The Gospel of the Uncircumcision

A. Different Audience – (Gal. 2:9)

Peter to the Circumcision, Paul to the Gentiles.

One gospel to Israel, one to the Body.

Both true, but not the same.

Distinction, not division.

B. Different Administration – (Eph. 3:2)

Paul’s gospel reveals the Dispensation of Grace.

A new stewardship.

A new spiritual structure.

A new standing before God.

C. Different Application – (Rom. 10:4)

The law ended; grace began.

Law pointed to Christ.

Christ fulfilled the law.

Grace now governs the Body.

𝗩𝗜. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 (Ephesians 1:3–7)

— Our Position in the Body of Christ

A. Accepted in the Beloved – (Eph. 1:6)

Grace makes us pleasing before God.

No condemnation.

No separation.

No probation.

B. Adopted by the Father – (Rom. 8:15–17)

We are sons, not servants.

Born of the Spirit.

Belong to the Savior.

Blessed with sonship.

C. Assured by the Spirit – (Eph. 1:13–14)

Sealed till redemption’s day.

The Spirit secures.

The Spirit sanctifies.

The Spirit strengthens.

𝗩𝗜𝗜. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟 (2 Timothy 1:13–14)

— Guarding the Grace Revelation

A. Protect the Truth – (1 Tim. 6:20)

Keep the deposit of sound doctrine.

Don’t compromise for comfort.

Don’t dilute for diplomacy.

Don’t desert for deceit.

B. Preach the Truth – (2 Tim. 4:2)

Declare grace boldly and plainly.

Be instant in season.

Be consistent in message.

Be courageous in ministry.

C. Persevere in the Truth – (2 Tim. 4:7–8)

Finish your course faithfully.

Fight the good fight.

Finish the race.

Faithfully await the crown.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍:

Paul’s gospel is the pure gospel of grace for the Body of Christ today. The perverted gospels of religion, ritual, and rebellion seek to rob grace of its glory.

If Satan cannot stop salvation, he will corrupt revelation. That’s why the believer must stand firmly upon Paul’s distinct message — Christ according to the revelation of the mystery (Rom. 16:25).

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:

Discern what you hear by rightly dividing the Word.
Defend the grace gospel with boldness and clarity.
Declare the pure message of salvation to others — faith alone in Christ alone!
Detach from mixed messages and modern confusion.
Depend fully on God’s grace, not human tradition!

𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒:

Paul’s Gospel reveals what Christ accomplished for us.
Perverted Gospels reveal what man tries to add to it.
The mystery message is our measure for ministry.
Mixing programs makes doctrinal poison.
True appreciation of grace comes when we rightly divide the Word of Truth!
