NO POLITICS FOR DISPENSATIONAL RIGHT DIVIDERS โ WE ARE HEAVENLY PEOPLE, NOT EARTHLY
INTRODUCTION
In every generation, believers are tempted to get entangled with the political systems of this world. But in the Dispensation of Grace, God has not called the Body of Christ to advance earthly kingdoms or political agendas. Our identity, inheritance, and citizenship are heavenly, not earthly (Phil. 3:20).
Paul teaches us to pray for leaders, live peaceably, and preach the gospelโnot to reform earthly governments.
This message reminds us why right dividers must stay focused on our heavenly calling, not earthly politics.
THE POSITION OF THE BODY โ OUR HEAVENLY CALLING
A. A Celestial Citizenship โ WE BELONG ABOVE
โOur conversation (citizenship) is in heavenโ (Phil. 3:20).
Our identity is not tied to nations, parties, or movements.
B. A Christ-Centered Connection โ WE ARE IN HIM
Seated with Christ in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6).
Our position determines our priorities.
C. A Completed Purpose โ WE REPRESENT HEAVEN
Ambassadors for Christ (2 Cor. 5:20).
Ambassadors do not get entangled in local politics.
THE PURPOSE OF THE DISPENSATION โ GRACE, NOT GOVERNMENT
A. A Gospel-Driven Mission โ PREACHING SALVATION
Godโs will today: โall men be savedโ (1 Tim. 2:4).
Not political reformation, but spiritual regeneration.
B. A Grace-Given Message โ PEACE WITH GOD
Justified by faith, not law (Rom. 5:1).
Politics seeks control; grace brings peace.
C. A Global Gentile Focus โ PAULโS UNIQUE PATTERN
Paul given the dispensation of grace (Eph. 3:1โ3).
This program does not involve political kingdoms.
THE PROBLEM WITH POLITICAL ENTANGLEMENTS
A. A Distracting Influence โ PULLING SAINTS AWAY
โNo man that warreth entangleth himselfโฆโ (2 Tim. 2:4).
Politics divides; the gospel unites.
B. A Dangerous Identity โ PARTISAN LOYALTIES
Many become known more by party affiliation than gospel truth.
Paul warned against divisions (1 Cor. 1:12โ13).
C. A Diminished Impact โ PREACHING LOSES POWER
When saints fight over earthly issues, gospel clarity is lost.
Our message is heavenly, not political (Col. 3:1โ2).
THE PATTERN OF PAUL โ HE AVOIDED EARTHLY POLITICS
A. A Singular Focus โ SPREADING THE GOSPEL
Paulโs focus: โI might by all means save someโ (1 Cor. 9:22).
No record of political activism.
B. A Spiritual Fight โ NOT CARNAL BATTLES
Weapons are not carnal (2 Cor. 10:3โ4).
The battle is for souls, not seats.
C. A Scriptural Framework โ HIS INSTRUCTIONS
Pray for kings (1 Tim. 2:1โ2), not protest them.
Lead quiet and peaceable lives.
THE PRIORITY OF OUR MISSION โ SOULS OVER SYSTEMS
A. A Clear Commission โ MINISTERING RECONCILIATION
God gave us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18).
Not moral reform through laws.
B. A Crucial Curriculum โ RIGHTLY DIVIDING TRUTH
โRightly dividing the word of truthโ (2 Tim. 2:15).
Politics is earthly; our doctrine is heavenly.
C. A Constant Call โ SETTING AFFECTIONS ABOVE
โSet your affection on things aboveโ (Col. 3:1โ2).
Heavenly people must think heavenly.
THE PERSPECTIVE OF PROPHECY VS PAUL
A. A Kingdom Program โ ISRAELโS POLITICAL FUTURE
Prophecy concerns earthly kingdoms (Isa. 9:7).
Israel will rule nations in the Millennial Kingdom.
B. A Grace Program โ THE BODYโS HEAVENLY FUTURE
We are blessed with spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Eph. 1:3).
Not promised earthly rule.
C. A Proper Division โ KNOWING OUR DISPENSATION
Mixing the kingdom program leads to political activism.
Paulโs program leads to spiritual evangelism.
THE PEACE OF A HEAVENLY MINDSET
A. A Quiet Life โ PROMOTED BY PAUL
โLead a quiet and peaceable lifeโ (1 Tim. 2:2).
Not a politically combative life.
B. A Content Heart โ TRUSTING GODโS PLAN
God sets up kings and removes kings (Dan. 2:21).
We rest in His sovereignty, not in elections.
C. A Confident Hope โ WAITING FOR CHRIST
Our hope is His appearing (Titus 2:13).
Not national revival, but heavenly glory.
CONCLUSION
Right dividers must remember:
We are heavenly, not earthly.
We are ambassadors, not activists.
We are looking for Christ, not political change.
Our focus must remain on the gospel, grace, and the edification of the Bodyโnot the shifting kingdoms of this world.
CALL TO ACTION (CTA)
Refocus your mind on heavenly things.
Refuse entanglement with political battles.
Recommit to preaching Christ and His gospel.
Remember your identity as a heavenly ambassador.
FINAL THOUGHTS
The Body of Christ is heavenly, not earthly.
Paulโs pattern forbids political entanglements.
Our mission is spiritual, not governmental.
