Rightly Dividing Truth in the Dispensation of Grace

In every age, man exalts his own wisdom—self-effort, positive speaking, declarations, and philosophies. In our day, these ideas have infiltrated pulpits, replacing the power of the gospel with the pride of the flesh.

The Church today is not called to live by mystical formulas or Jewish kingdom promises, but by the preaching of the cross revealed to the Apostle Paul (1 Cor. 1:18; Eph. 3:2).

This message exposes the contrast between man’s wisdom and God’s wisdom in the Dispensation of Grace.

① THE PRIDE OF HUMAN WISDOM

Man exalts himself instead of Christ.

A. Self-Exalting Philosophy — Man glorifies intellect and ability 1 Corinthians 1:20

B. Self-Improving Programs — Human effort replaces faith Colossians 2:8

C. Self-Glorying Preachers — Flesh seeks applause 1 Corinthians 1:29

② THE PROBLEM WITH POSITIVE SPEAKING

Words without truth have no saving power.

God’s wisdom comes through revelation, not reason.

Believers must test teaching, not trust personalities.

CONCLUSION

Man’s wisdom appeals to the flesh, inflates pride, and minimizes the cross.God’s wisdom humbles sinners, exalts Christ, and magnifies grace.

In this Dispensation of Grace, the Church is not called to “speak things into existence,” but to believe what Christ has already accomplished.
