MAN’S WAY vs. GOD’S WAY β€” RELIGION vs. REDEMPTION

Key Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)
Supporting Key: 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

INTRODUCTION

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals two pathsβ€”man’s way built on religion, works, and pride, and God’s way built on grace, faith, and the finished work of Christ.

In this Dispensation of the Grace of God, salvation is not found in institutions, rituals, or religious leadersβ€”but in Jesus Christ alone and His finished work on the cross.
Today we will rightly divide these two ways.

️RELIGION vs. REDEMPTION

Romans 10:3–4; Ephesians 1:7

Man’s Way – Tries Religion – Systems, rituals, traditions
God’s Way – Trusts Redemption – Christ paid the price
Right Division – Religion cannot redeem; Christ already did
Dispensational Truth:
Redemption is complete, not progressive.

️JUSTIFICATION OF SIN vs. JUSTIFICATION BY GRACE
Romans 3:20; Romans 3:24

Man’s Way – Excuses Sin – Redefines righteousness
God’s Way – Erases Sin – Freely justified by grace
Clear Contrast – Man hides sin; God forgives it
Insight:
Justification is a gift, not a goal.

️WORKS vs. WORK FINISHED
Ephesians 2:8–9; John 19:30

Man’s Way – Trusts Works – Effort, merit, sacrifice
God’s Way – Trusts the Cross – β€œIt is finished”
Final Authority – Salvation rests on Christ’s work
Pauline Doctrine:
Works follow salvation, never precede it.

️PRIDE vs. PROVISION
Proverbs 16:18; 2 Corinthians 5:21

Man’s Way – Seeks Pride – Self-righteousness
God’s Way – Supplies Righteousness – Imputed by Christ
Eternal Difference – Pride condemns; provision saves
Dispensational Reality:
Righteousness is credited, not earned.

️MULTIPLE MEDIATORS vs. ONE MEDIATOR
1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 10:12

Man’s Way – Many Figures – Priests, saints, systems
God’s Way – One Mediator – Jesus Christ alone
Final Word – One sacrifice forever
Grace Truth:
No replacement, no repetition, no addition.

️CONFUSION vs. CLARITY
1 Corinthians 14:33; 2 Corinthians 11:3

Man’s Way – Confuses Paths – Mixed messages
God’s Way – Clarifies Truth – Simple gospel
Rightly Divided – Clarity comes from Paul’s revelation
Emphasis:
The mystery gospel brings understanding.

️FEAR vs. FAITH
Romans 8:1; Romans 5:1

Man’s Way – Fear of Judgment – Never enough
God’s Way – Faith in Christ – Peace with God
Security – No condemnation in Christ
Dispensational Assurance:
Believers are secure in this age of grace.

️DEATH vs. DELIVERANCE

Romans 6:23; Colossians 1:13–14

Man’s Way – Leads to Death – Wages of sin
God’s Way – Brings Deliverance – Translated into life
Present Reality – Salvation now, glory later
Pauline Hope:
We are already delivered.

️HELL vs. HEAVEN
John 3:18; 2 Corinthians 5:8

Man’s Way – Ends in Separation – Eternal loss
God’s Way – Ends in Glory – Eternal presence
Final Division – Believe or perish
Dispensational Conclusion:
Heaven is entered by faith, not effort.

CONCLUSION

Man’s way is crowded, religious, and doomed.
God’s way is narrow, gracious, and finished.
The cross did not make salvation possibleβ€”it made it complete.
