MANβS WAY vs. GODβS WAY β RELIGION vs. REDEMPTION
Key Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1β4 (KJV)
Supporting Key: 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
INTRODUCTION
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals two pathsβmanβs way built on religion, works, and pride, and Godβs way built on grace, faith, and the finished work of Christ.
In this Dispensation of the Grace of God, salvation is not found in institutions, rituals, or religious leadersβbut in Jesus Christ alone and His finished work on the cross.
Today we will rightly divide these two ways.
οΈRELIGION vs. REDEMPTION
Romans 10:3β4; Ephesians 1:7
Manβs Way β Tries Religion β Systems, rituals, traditions
Godβs Way β Trusts Redemption β Christ paid the price
Right Division β Religion cannot redeem; Christ already did
Dispensational Truth:
Redemption is complete, not progressive.
οΈJUSTIFICATION OF SIN vs. JUSTIFICATION BY GRACE
Romans 3:20; Romans 3:24
Manβs Way β Excuses Sin β Redefines righteousness
Godβs Way β Erases Sin β Freely justified by grace
Clear Contrast β Man hides sin; God forgives it
Insight:
Justification is a gift, not a goal.
οΈWORKS vs. WORK FINISHED
Ephesians 2:8β9; John 19:30
Manβs Way β Trusts Works β Effort, merit, sacrifice
Godβs Way β Trusts the Cross β βIt is finishedβ
Final Authority β Salvation rests on Christβs work
Pauline Doctrine:
Works follow salvation, never precede it.
οΈPRIDE vs. PROVISION
Proverbs 16:18; 2 Corinthians 5:21
Manβs Way β Seeks Pride β Self-righteousness
Godβs Way β Supplies Righteousness β Imputed by Christ
Eternal Difference β Pride condemns; provision saves
Dispensational Reality:
Righteousness is credited, not earned.
οΈMULTIPLE MEDIATORS vs. ONE MEDIATOR
1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 10:12
Manβs Way β Many Figures β Priests, saints, systems
Godβs Way β One Mediator β Jesus Christ alone
Final Word β One sacrifice forever
Grace Truth:
No replacement, no repetition, no addition.
οΈCONFUSION vs. CLARITY
1 Corinthians 14:33; 2 Corinthians 11:3
Manβs Way β Confuses Paths β Mixed messages
Godβs Way β Clarifies Truth β Simple gospel
Rightly Divided β Clarity comes from Paulβs revelation
Emphasis:
The mystery gospel brings understanding.
οΈFEAR vs. FAITH
Romans 8:1; Romans 5:1
Manβs Way β Fear of Judgment β Never enough
Godβs Way β Faith in Christ β Peace with God
Security β No condemnation in Christ
Dispensational Assurance:
Believers are secure in this age of grace.
οΈDEATH vs. DELIVERANCE
Romans 6:23; Colossians 1:13β14
Manβs Way β Leads to Death β Wages of sin
Godβs Way β Brings Deliverance β Translated into life
Present Reality β Salvation now, glory later
Pauline Hope:
We are already delivered.
οΈHELL vs. HEAVEN
John 3:18; 2 Corinthians 5:8
Manβs Way β Ends in Separation β Eternal loss
Godβs Way β Ends in Glory β Eternal presence
Final Division β Believe or perish
Dispensational Conclusion:
Heaven is entered by faith, not effort.
CONCLUSION
Manβs way is crowded, religious, and doomed.
Godβs way is narrow, gracious, and finished.
The cross did not make salvation possibleβit made it complete.
