Text: 1 Corinthians 10:32

Paul commands: โ€œGive none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God.โ€
This verse divides all humanity into three categories in Godโ€™s program.

In times past (Eph. 2:11โ€“12), there were only two: Jews and Gentiles.

But now, in the dispensation of grace, there is a third group: the Church of God, the Body of Christ.
Failure to recognize these distinctions produces confusion about law, prophecy, grace, and future promises.

Let us study these three groups and their dispensational place in Godโ€™s plan.

God separated Israel from the nations through Abraham (Gen. 12:1

They were given covenants, the law, the temple, and promises (Rom. 9:4

Dispensational Insight: Israel was Godโ€™s earthly people, promised a kingdom on earth.

The nations were โ€œwithout Godโ€ and โ€œaliens from the commonwealth of Israelโ€ (Eph. 2:12).

Gentiles were dependent on Israelโ€™s rise for blessing (Isa. 60:3).

Dispensational Insight: Gentiles were afar off until grace reached them through Paulโ€™s apostleship.

A new creation (2 Cor. 5:17), neither Jew nor Gentile, but one Body in Christ (Eph. 2:14

Baptized into one Body by the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:13).

Dispensational Insight: The Church is Godโ€™s heavenly people, distinct from Israel and Gentiles.

In times past, a middle wall of partition divided Jew and Gentile (Eph. 2:14).

Israel was near; Gentiles were far off.

Dispensational Insight: That wall is now broken down in Christ.

Salvation is now offered equally to all (Rom. 10:12

No distinction in Christ: all are sinners, all can be saved by grace through faith.

Dispensational Insight: The โ€œone new manโ€ is Godโ€™s present purpose (Eph. 2:15).

Many confuse Israel with the Church, leading to:

Replacement theology (Church = Israel).

Prosperity theology (claiming Israelโ€™s promises).

Dispensational Insight: Israelโ€™s covenants and promises belong to them; the Church has heavenly blessings.

Israelโ€™s blindness is temporary (Rom. 11:25).

God will restore them and fulfill the kingdom promises.

Dispensational Insight: The Body of Christ will be caught up before God resumes His prophetic program with Israel.

Paul is the apostle of the Gentiles (Rom. 11:13).

He teaches the distinct program of grace and the Body of Christ.

Dispensational Insight: Following Paulโ€™s pattern guards us from doctrinal confusion.

We must distinguish Jews, Gentiles, and the Church in Scripture.

Israel = Earthly calling, Gentiles = Nations, Church = Heavenly calling.

Dispensational Insight: Right division (2 Tim. 2:15) is the key to understanding the Bible.

Godโ€™s Word divides all humanity into three groups: Jews, Gentiles, and the Church of God.

Jews: Godโ€™s chosen earthly nation.

Gentiles: The nations once afar off.

Church of God: A new creation, heavenly people in Christ.

To confuse these groups is to confuse Godโ€™s plan. To distinguish them is to understand the Bible dispensationally.

Recognize the distinction between Jew, Gentile, and the Church.

Respect Godโ€™s program for Israelโ€”past, present, and future.

Rejoice in the grace that has made us one Body in Christ.

Reject false teachings that merge Israelโ€™s law with the Churchโ€™s grace.

Remember Paulโ€™s unique apostleship as our pattern.

Rest in our heavenly position in Christ, not earthly promises.

Remain steadfast in sound doctrine, not swayed by confusion.

Reach both Jews and Gentiles with the gospel of grace.

Rightly Divide the Word of Truth so Christ is glorified and confusion avoided.
