IN THE TRIBULATION, MANY WILL PAY THE PRICE

INTRODUCTION

The Scripture reveals that the coming Tribulation—Daniel’s 70th Week—is a time of unprecedented judgment upon the earth. The Body of Christ (the Church) will already be raptured (1 Thess. 4:16–17), but those left behind will face the terrifying reality of Antichrist’s rule, global deception, and divine wrath. Many will indeed pay the price for their refusal to worship the Beast and their loyalty to the testimony of Christ (Rev. 20:4).
This message examines what the Bible reveals about the cost, the conflict, and the consequences for Tribulation believers.

** THE PRICE OF PERSECUTION
(Tribulation Saints Will Face Extreme Hostility)

Revelation 13:7

A. Savage Opposition – The Antichrist will be “given power to make war with the saints.”
B. Systematic Oppression – Every believer will be hunted, pressured, and punished.
C. Severe Outcomes – Many will die for refusing the Beast.

(Tribulation Salvation Involves Faithfulness Under Fire)

Revelation 7:14

A. Washed in the Blood – Salvation is still by Christ's blood.
B. Witness in the Battle – Their testimony will cost them everything.

Revelation 12:11

A. Courageous Confession – They overcome by the word of their testimony.
B. Constant Confrontation – Their witness angers the Antichrist.

(Rejecting the Mark Brings Economic Suffering)

Revelation 13:16–17

A. Forbidden Commerce – No buying or selling without the Mark.
B. Forced Compliance – Pressure to conform will be global.
C. Faithful Resistance – True believers will refuse even under threat.

(Endurance Is Necessary for Tribulation Believers)

Matthew 24:13

A. Continual Loyalty – They must stand firm to the end.
B. Courageous Living – Survival requires unwavering resolve.
C. Christ-Centered Focus – Their hope is the coming King.

** THE PRICE of PAIN
(The Tribulation Will Bring Physical and Emotional Suffering)

Revelation 6:9–11

A. Martyrdom's Reality – Souls beneath the altar cry out for justice.
B. Multiplied Remembrance – Their sacrifice is not forgotten by God.
C. Messianic Reward – A white robe awaits them.

** THE PRICE OF PROMISE
(Their Suffering Will Become Glory)

Revelation 20:4

A. Reigning Privilege – They will reign with Christ 1,000 years.
B. Restored Peace – No more Antichrist, no more oppression.
C. Redeemed Position – Honored because of their faithfulness.

CONCLUSION

The world will pass through a time so dreadful that Jesus said “there shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world” (Matt. 24:21).
While the Body of Christ escapes this judgment through the pre-Tribulation Rapture, the Tribulation saints will face a heavy price.
But God will honor their endurance, reward their faith, and avenge their suffering.
