𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗬, 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨

𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗬, 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 — “THE GREATEST DELUSION OF MAN”

From the beginning of time, man has always tried to reach God his own way — through religion, rituals, or righteousness. But every attempt of human effort only rejects the redemption that God has already provided through the Cross.

In the Dispensational view, salvation has always been by grace and by faith — but the revelation of that grace was progressive, and now fully revealed in this present dispensation (Ephesians 3:2).

To say “I can save myself” is to say “Christ died in vain” (Galatians 2:21).

Let’s examine the tragedy of self-salvation and the triumph of the Savior’s sacrifice.

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝟭: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘 — 𝗠𝗔𝗡’𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

A. The Desire of Self-Righteousness

Romans 10:3 — “They being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness.”

Israel’s failure was pride; man’s failure today is the same — trusting in self, not the Savior.

B. The Deception of Satan

Genesis 3:4–5 — “Ye shall be as gods.”

The devil’s oldest lie is self-elevation — believing man can achieve holiness apart from God.

C. The Danger of Self-Sufficiency

Proverbs 14:12 — “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Pride blinds man from grace. Self-salvation nullifies Christ’s sacrifice.

Dispensational Truth: Man’s pride has always resisted God’s plan — whether under Law or under Grace.

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝟮: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 — 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

A. The Sin-Bearing Substitute

Isaiah 53:6 — “The LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

Salvation was always through substitution — from animal sacrifices to the Lamb of God.

B. The Sufficient Sacrifice

Hebrews 10:12 — “This man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down.”

Christ’s cross completed what religion could never accomplish.

C. The Spiritual Satisfaction

Romans 3:25 — “Through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness.”

God’s justice was satisfied; His wrath was removed.

Dispensational Truth: Propitiation is the foundation of the Grace Gospel — God’s full payment revealed in this age of grace.

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝟯: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 — 𝗠𝗔𝗡’𝗦 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗧𝗦

A. Religious Works Cannot Redeem

Ephesians 2:8–9 — “Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Religion is man’s attempt to climb up; redemption is God’s act to come down.

B. Rituals Cannot Renew

Titus 3:5 — “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.”

Water, wafer, or worship services cannot cleanse sin — only Christ’s blood can.

C. Righteous Acts Cannot Rescue

Romans 4:5 — “To him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly.”

Human effort only exalts the flesh. Faith exalts the finished work.

Dispensational Truth: In this dispensation of grace, all human merit is excluded. Only faith in Christ’s cross saves.

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝟰: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦 — 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

A. It Is Finished!

John 19:30 — “It is finished.”

The work of salvation was not started by man, and it cannot be supplemented by man.

B. It Is Final!

Hebrews 9:26 — “Once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”

The cross was a one-time payment, not a recurring installment.

C. It Is Free!

Romans 3:24 — “Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

The cross made salvation available to all, attainable by none but received through faith alone.

Dispensational Truth: The Cross is the dividing line between Law and Grace, between works and faith.

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝟱: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟 — 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘

A. Distinct from the Kingdom Gospel

Galatians 2:7 — “The gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me.”

Peter preached repentance and baptism for Israel; Paul preached faith and grace for all nations.

B. Declared by Revelation

Ephesians 3:3–4 — “By revelation He made known unto me the mystery.”

The Grace Gospel was hidden before the Cross, revealed after the Cross.

C. Defined by Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:18–19 — “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself.”

The Grace Gospel is not man reaching God but God reconciling man through Christ.

Dispensational Truth: Paul’s message is not an extension of Peter’s gospel — it’s a new revelation for the Body of Christ.

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝟲: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 — 𝗥𝗘𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘

A. Rejecting the Cross Nullifies Grace

Galatians 2:21 — “If righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

To add to the cross is to subtract from its power.

B. Relying on Works Condemns

Romans 4:14 — “If they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void.”

Self-salvation removes the need for the Savior.

C. Refusing the Truth Damns

2 Thessalonians 2:10–12 — “They received not the love of the truth... that they might be saved.”

Rejecting grace is not just a mistake — it’s eternal loss.

Dispensational Truth: In this age of grace, man’s only condemnation is refusal of Christ’s finished work.

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝟳: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘 — 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘

A. Salvation by Faith

Romans 5:1 — “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God.”

Peace is not achieved — it’s received through faith in Christ.

B. Standing in Grace

Romans 5:2 — “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace.”

The believer’s standing is secured, not shaken.

C. Sealed by the Spirit

Ephesians 1:13 — “Ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”

The believer is eternally secure — not by performance but by possession of the Spirit.

Dispensational Truth: The Grace Gospel produces peace with God now and glory with Christ later.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 — “𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗔𝗡, 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗛𝗘?”

If you could save yourself, why did Christ die?
If your works could wash away sin, why the blood of the Lamb?
If religion could redeem you, why the Redeemer?

Every attempt to save yourself is a rejection of Calvary.
Christ did not die to make salvation possible; He died to make it perfect and permanent.

𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 — “𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗧𝗥𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚!”

Stop trusting your works — they cannot save.
Start trusting His Word — it cannot fail.
Stand firm in His Grace — it cannot be undone.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” — Acts 16:31

𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦:

You can’t add to what’s already finished.
You can’t earn what’s already given.
You can’t save yourself — that’s why Christ came.

Salvation is not achieved by human effort, but accepted by humble faith.
𝗜𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 — 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴!
