HOW TO OVERCOME OUR SINFUL HABITS?
INTRODUCTION
Sinful habits are not defeated by willpower alone, religious vows, or putting ourselves back under the Law. In the Dispensation of Grace, victory comes through our identity in Christ, the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and renewed thinking through rightly divided truth (Rom. 6β8).
This message answers HOW a believer can overcome sinful habitsβnot to be saved, but because we ARE saved.
POSITION β Know Who You Are in Christ

A. Crucified Position β Our old man is crucified with Christ (Rom. 6:6).
B. Cleared Position β Sin no longer has legal dominion (Rom. 6:7).
C. Changed Position β We are a new creature in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17).
Victory begins with identity, not effort.

The flesh cannot defeat the flesh.

Falling doesnβt define youβstaying down does.
