One of the most abused doctrines in Christianity is the doctrine of grace.
Some claim that because we are saved without works, then we are free to live in sin. But the Bible clearly teaches that grace saves us, seals us, and strengthens usโnot to sin, but to serve (Rom. 6:1โ2; Titus 2:11โ12).
In the Dispensation of Grace, believers are not under the law (Rom. 6:14),
but that does not mean we are lawless.
Grace does not give permission to sin, but power over sin.

A. Perfect Salvation โ Grace saves completely (Eph. 2:8โ9).
B. Personal Substitution โ Christ died for our sins (1 Cor. 15:3โ4).
C. Positional Security โ Justified freely by His grace (Rom. 3:24).
Grace saves us from sin, not into sin.

A. Dead to Sin โ Believers are crucified with Christ (Rom. 6:6).
B. Delivered from Bondage โ Sin shall not have dominion (Rom. 6:14).
C. Directed by the Spirit โ Walk in newness of life (Rom. 8:4).
Grace breaks sinโs control, not blesses sinโs continuation.

B. Teaching to Reflect โ Live soberly and righteously (Titus 2:12).
C. Transforming to Redeem โ Zealous of good works (Titus 2:14).
Grace is our teacherโnot temptationโs partner.

A. Strength to Stand โ Be strong in grace (2 Tim. 2:1).
B. Stability Against Sin โ Stand fast in liberty (Gal. 5:1).
C. Steadfast Through Struggles โ His grace is sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9).
Grace keeps us grounded, not greedy for sin.

A. New Creature โ Old things passed away (2 Cor. 5:17).

C. New Citizenship โ Seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6).
Grace changes who we are, which changes how we live.

A. Appreciation Leads to Obedience โ The love of Christ constrains us (2 Cor. 5:14).
B. Adoration Leads to Righteousness โ Present your bodies (Rom. 12:1).
C. Affection Leads to Faithfulness โ Walk worthy of the Lord (Col. 1:10).
Grace-filled hearts produce grace-filled lives.

A. Eternal Assurance โ Sealed unto redemption (Eph. 1:13โ14).

C. Encouraged Holiness โ Perfect holiness in the fear of God (2 Cor. 7:1).
Grace secures our salvation, not excuses our sin.

Grace does not give us the freedom to sin, but the freedom from sin.
Grace is not a licenseโit is a liberation.
Not for rebellion, but for renewal.
Not for carelessness, but for Christlikeness.
The gospel that saves us (1 Cor. 15:1โ4) is the same grace that sanctifies us.
