𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗔 𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗜𝗡

𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

One of the most abused doctrines in Christianity is the doctrine of grace.
Some claim that because we are saved without works, then we are free to live in sin. But the Bible clearly teaches that grace saves us, seals us, and strengthens us—not to sin, but to serve (Rom. 6:1–2; Titus 2:11–12).

In the Dispensation of Grace, believers are not under the law (Rom. 6:14),
but that does not mean we are lawless.
Grace does not give permission to sin, but power over sin.

𝟭. 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗦𝗜𝗡’𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗬

A. Perfect Salvation — Grace saves completely (Eph. 2:8–9).
B. Personal Substitution — Christ died for our sins (1 Cor. 15:3–4).
C. Positional Security — Justified freely by His grace (Rom. 3:24).

Grace saves us from sin, not into sin.

𝟮. 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗦𝗜𝗡’𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥

A. Dead to Sin — Believers are crucified with Christ (Rom. 6:6).
B. Delivered from Bondage — Sin shall not have dominion (Rom. 6:14).
C. Directed by the Spirit — Walk in newness of life (Rom. 8:4).

Grace breaks sin’s control, not blesses sin’s continuation.

𝟯. 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟𝗦 𝗨𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗚𝗢𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚

A. Training to Renounce — Deny ungodliness (Titus 2:12).
B. Teaching to Reflect — Live soberly and righteously (Titus 2:12).
C. Transforming to Redeem — Zealous of good works (Titus 2:14).

Grace is our teacher—not temptation’s partner.

𝟰. 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞

A. Strength to Stand — Be strong in grace (2 Tim. 2:1).
B. Stability Against Sin — Stand fast in liberty (Gal. 5:1).
C. Steadfast Through Struggles — His grace is sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9).

Grace keeps us grounded, not greedy for sin.

𝟱. 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗬

A. New Creature — Old things passed away (2 Cor. 5:17).
B. New Creation — Created unto good works (Eph. 2:10).
C. New Citizenship — Seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6).

Grace changes who we are, which changes how we live.

𝟲. 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘

A. Appreciation Leads to Obedience — The love of Christ constrains us (2 Cor. 5:14).
B. Adoration Leads to Righteousness — Present your bodies (Rom. 12:1).
C. Affection Leads to Faithfulness — Walk worthy of the Lord (Col. 1:10).

Grace-filled hearts produce grace-filled lives.

𝟳. 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗬, 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

A. Eternal Assurance — Sealed unto redemption (Eph. 1:13–14).
B. Expected Accountability — All shall appear before Christ (2 Cor. 5:10).
C. Encouraged Holiness — Perfect holiness in the fear of God (2 Cor. 7:1).

Grace secures our salvation, not excuses our sin.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍

Grace does not give us the freedom to sin, but the freedom from sin.
Grace is not a license—it is a liberation.
Not for rebellion, but for renewal.
Not for carelessness, but for Christlikeness.

The gospel that saves us (1 Cor. 15:1–4) is the same grace that sanctifies us.

Trust the finished work of Christ—alone
Study the Word rightly divided
Let grace motivate holiness, not sinfulness
Share the gospel of grace boldly and clearly

Grace saves us from sin’s penalty.
Grace strengthens us against sin’s power.
Grace shapes us into Christ’s image.
