𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛

𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛

(Matthew 6:19–20 – “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth... But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven...”)

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:

In this world, people chase after money, possessions, and power. But as Dispensationalists, we understand that in this Dispensation of Grace, the riches that matter are not earthly but eternal in Christ. Unlike Israel’s earthly promises of land and blessing, the Body of Christ is promised spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3). Therefore, we must focus not on fading riches, but on forever rewards.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (Matthew 6:19–20)

Forbidden Riches – Earthly treasures perish (Proverbs 23:5).

Future Rewards – Heavenly treasure is secure (Colossians 3:2).

Faithful Responsibility – Believers are called to invest spiritually (1 Tim. 6:18-19).

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (Colossians 3:1–2)

Seek the Things Above – Christ-centered living.

Set Affections on Heaven – Detach from materialism.

Secure a Heavenly Account – Depositing rewards in eternity.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (Ephesians 1:3)

Spiritual Blessings – Already ours in Christ.

Sealed Blessings – Kept by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).

Sustaining Blessings – Strength in trials (Philippians 4:19).

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (1 Timothy 6:9–10)

Corrupting Influence – Love of money is root of evil.

Crippling Idolatry – Trusting riches over God.

Condemning Investment – Earthly wealth cannot save.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Temporal Things Fade – Seen things are temporary.

True Things Flourish – Unseen eternal things remain.

Transforming Focus – Looking to Christ changes values.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (1 Corinthians 3:12–14)

Right Foundation – Jesus Christ alone.

Refined Faithfulness – Works tested by fire.

Rewarded Fruitfulness – Eternal crowns await.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (1 Peter 1:4–5)

Reserved in Heaven – Our inheritance is incorruptible.

Reliably Secured – God’s power keeps it.

Righteously Guarded – No thief can touch it (Matt. 6:20).

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (2 Corinthians 9:6–7)

Sowing Generously – Reaping abundantly.

Serving Joyfully – God loves cheerful givers.

Stewarding Graciously – Giving reflects grace.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (James 2:5)

Chosen of God – Poor in this world, rich in faith.

Crowned with Glory – Heirs of the kingdom.

Content with Godliness – Great gain with contentment (1 Tim. 6:6).

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (Philippians 3:13–14)

Forget the Past – Don’t live for yesterday’s gains.

Focus on the Prize – High calling in Christ.

Finish the Path – Press toward the mark.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Christ’s Example – He became poor for us.

Christian’s Enrichment – We are rich in Him.

Church’s Empowerment – Riches of grace enable ministry.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (Revelation 22:12)

Christ’s Return – Rewards with Him.

Crowns Reserved – Incorruptible crowns never fade (1 Cor. 9:25).

Complete Reward – Nothing lost in eternity (2 John)

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡:

Worldly wealth is temporal and empty, but eternal wealth in Christ is permanent and priceless. In the Dispensation of Grace, our true riches are not in land, gold, or power, but in Christ Jesus seated in heavenly places.

𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Repent from covetousness.

Refocus on eternal riches in Christ.

Remain faithful until He comes.

𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦

Eternal wealth is secure.
Eternal wealth is spiritual.
Eternal wealth is satisfying.
Eternal wealth is superior to earthly riches.
Eternal wealth is stored in Christ.
