FIVE ESSENTIAL TRUTHS THAT DEMAND A GOSPEL RESPONSE

INTRODUCTION (WHY THIS MESSAGE MATTERS)

The image before us presents eternal realities, not emotional opinions. These truths cut across every generation and every dispensation, yet must be understood rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15).
In the Dispensation of Grace, God is not calling sinners to works, rituals, or religious systems—but to BELIEVE the Gospel of Grace revealed to the Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 15:1–4).
Today, we will examine NINE TRUTHS that flow from these “Five Essential Truths,” culminating in God’s present-day saving message.

I. BREVITY OF LIFE
“Life is short”
James 4:14; Psalm 90:12

A. Fleeting Existence – Life passes like a vapor
B. Fragile Opportunity – Tomorrow is not guaranteed
C. Final Appointment – One life, one chance (Hebrews 9:27)
Dispensational Insight:
Man is not promised extended time to repent later—NOW is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

II. BURDEN OF SIN
“Sin has consequences”
Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

A. Universal Corruption – All have sinned
B. Unavoidable Consequences – Sin brings death
C. Unpaid Debt – Sin must be judged
Dispensational Insight:
The Law reveals sin—but Grace removes sin’s penalty through Christ (Romans 5:20–21).

III. BOUNDARY OF DEATH
“Death is inevitable”
Hebrews 9:27; Ecclesiastes 3:2

A. Certain End – Death awaits every man
B. Closing Door – No second chance after death
C. Conscious Destiny – Eternal awareness follows death
Dispensational Insight:
Death seals your decision—belief or unbelief (John 3:18).

IV. BLAZE OF HELL
“Hell is real”
Luke 16:23; Revelation 20:14–15

A. Literal Place – Not symbolic
B. Lasting Punishment – Eternal separation
C. Lawful Judgment – God is just
Dispensational Insight:
Hell was never meant for man—but unbelief sends sinners there (John 3:36).

V. BEAUTY OF GRACE
“Believe the Gospel of Grace”
1 Corinthians 15:1–4

A. Christ Died for Our Sins
B. Christ Was Buried
C. Christ Rose Again
Dispensational Insight:
This is Paul’s Gospel—the ONLY saving message today (Romans 16:25).

VI. BASIS OF SALVATION
Salvation is by faith alone

B. Grace, Not Good Works
C. Gift, Not Guilt
Dispensational Insight:
Adding works to grace nullifies grace (Galatians 2:21).

VII. BELIEVER’S SECURITY
Salvation is eternal

A. Sealed by the Spirit
B. Secured by Christ
C. Settled Forever
Dispensational Insight:
Church-age saints are sealed UNTIL redemption—not probationary believers.

VIII. BODY OF CHRIST
A new people, not Israel
1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 3:6

A. One Body – Jew and Gentile equal
B. One Hope – Heavenly calling
C. One Head – Christ alone
Dispensational Insight:
The Church is not spiritual Israel—it is a mystery revealed to Paul.

IX. BLESSED HOPE
Christ is coming for His Church
1 Thessalonians 4:16–18; Titus 2:13

A. Rapture is Imminent
B. Wrath is Avoided
C. Reward is Certain
Dispensational Insight:
The Church is NOT appointed to wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

CONCLUSION (THE DECISION)

Life is short.
Death is certain.
Hell is real.
But GRACE is greater.
God is not asking you to reform—
God is asking you to BELIEVE.
