DISGUISING DECEPTION: THE WOLVES AMONG THE SHEEP

INTRODUCTION

From Israelโ€™s prophets to Christโ€™s earthly ministry to Paulโ€™s epistles, Scripture repeatedly warns that false teachers never appear false at first glance. They look like sheep, sound like sheepโ€”but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Matthew 7:15).

In this Dispensation of Grace, the apostle Paul intensifies the warning, declaring that Satan himself disguises as โ€œan angel of lightโ€ and his ministers as โ€œministers of righteousnessโ€ (2 Corinthians 11:13โ€“15). The greatest danger to the Church today is not atheism, immorality, or unbelief; it is false doctrine wrapped in spiritual clothing, especially teachings that mix law with grace or Israelโ€™s kingdom program with the Body of Christ.

Rightly dividing the Word exposes wolves and protects the flock.

CONCLUSION

Wolves do not look dangerousโ€”they look religious.
They speak Scripture, but distort it.
They use Christโ€™s name, but deny His message.
The only safeguard in this dispensation is Paulโ€™s gospel, Paulโ€™s doctrine, and right division.
Truth exposes wolves.
Grace strengthens sheep.
Discernment protects the flock.
