DISGUISING DECEPTION: THE WOLVES AMONG THE SHEEP

INTRODUCTION

From Israel’s prophets to Christ’s earthly ministry to Paul’s epistles, Scripture repeatedly warns that false teachers never appear false at first glance. They look like sheep, sound like sheep—but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Matthew 7:15).

In this Dispensation of Grace, the apostle Paul intensifies the warning, declaring that Satan himself disguises as “an angel of light” and his ministers as “ministers of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:13–15). The greatest danger to the Church today is not atheism, immorality, or unbelief; it is false doctrine wrapped in spiritual clothing, especially teachings that mix law with grace or Israel’s kingdom program with the Body of Christ.

Rightly dividing the Word exposes wolves and protects the flock.
