BUY THE TRUTH AND SELL IT NOT
Proverbs 23:23
INTRODUCTION
Truth has always been the most valuable possession a man can have. In a world filled with fake gospels, false religions, philosophies, traditions, and opinions, God tells us:β€œBuy the truth, and sell it not.”In the Dispensation of Grace, truth is revealed through the inspired Scriptures (2 Tim. 3:16) and the revelation given to the Apostle Paul (Eph. 3:2–3).Truth is not cheap. Truth requires pursuit. Truth must be protected.And truth must never be sold.

1. THE PRICE OF TRUTH β€” ITS COSTLY VALUE
Proverbs 23:23; Job 28:12–18
A. Sacrifice for Truth
Truth demands time, study, commitment. (2 Tim. 2:15)
B. Separation for Truth
Often you must walk away from error to walk in truth (2 Cor. 6:17).
C. Seriousness for Truth
Truth is not casual or optional (Prov. 4:7).

Above culture, tradition, feelings (Psalm 119:160).

3. THE PURSUIT OF TRUTH β€” ITS SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE
2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 17:11
A. Search the Scriptures
Be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11).
B. Study the Scriptures
Rightly divide the Word (2 Tim. 2:15).
C. Submit to the Scriptures
Walk according to truth (Gal. 5:25).

4. THE PRESERVATION OF TRUTH β€” ITS DOCTRINAL DEFENSE
1 Timothy 6:20; Jude 3
A. Guard the Doctrine
β€œKeep that which is committed to thy trust…” (1 Tim. 6:20)
B. Grip the Dispensation
Protect the mystery doctrine revealed to Paul (Eph. 3:2–9).
C. Go Against Deception
Contend for the faith (Jude 3).

5. THE PERIL TO TRUTH β€” ITS CONSTANT OPPOSITION

6. THE POWER OF TRUTH β€” ITS TRANSFORMING WORK

β€œThe truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

C. Truth Instructs
Teaches us how to walk in this dispensation (Tit. 2:11–12).

7. THE PRIORITY OF TRUTH β€” ITS DISPENSATIONAL NECESSITY
Ephesians 3:2–9; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4
A. Recognize God’s Program
Truth today is revealed through Paul’s apostleship (Rom. 11:13).
B. Receive the Gospel of Grace
Christ died, was buried, and rose again (1 Cor. 15:1–4).
C. Remain in Right Division
Distinguish Israel’s program from the Body of Christ (2 Tim. 2:15).

CONCLUSION
Truth is priceless.Truth is eternal.Truth is God-given.Man cannot invent truthβ€”man can only receive it or reject it.
When Proverbs 23:23 says, β€œBuy the truth, and sell it not,”it means: Pursue it at any cost Protect it against all attacks Preserve it without compromise
