WORLD vs. WORD

“Chasing the World or Choosing the Word?”

INTRODUCTION
We live in a time when culture competes with Scripture, feelings replace faith, and trends drown out truth. The believer must decide daily: Will I be governed by the WORLD or grounded in the WORD?

Rightly divided Scripture reveals that the Body of Christ is not called to blend in—but to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Today we will examine 9 CLEAR CONTRASTS between the WORLD and the WORD—alliterated, Pauline, and practically applied.

COMPETING CURRENTS

WORLD
A. Conforms the mind to culture
B. Conditions behavior by trends

FEELINGS vs. FAITH

Grace frees us from sin’s rule, not to sin.

APPROVAL vs. ACCEPTANCE

We are accepted in the Beloved, not by the crowd.

CULTURE vs. CANON

The Bible is our final authority, not society.

Our citizenship is in heaven, not this world.

CONCLUSION

The issue is not religion vs. rebellion—
It is WORLD vs. WORD.
You cannot walk in both.
You cannot serve both.
You must choose your authority.
“Let God be true, but every man a liar.” (Romans 3:4)

Reject worldliness
Renew your mind daily

Rest in grace
Rejoice in Christ alone
Choose the WORD over the WORLD.
