(Spiritual Warfare in the Dispensation of Grace)
Key Text: Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

INTRODUCTION

Many believers underestimate spiritual warfare because they imagine it as physical conflict.
But in this present Dispensation of Grace, our warfare is doctrinal, mental, and spiritual.

The enemy attacks truth, not territory
The battlefield is the mind, not the body
The weapon is doctrine, not emotion
Victory is already secured in Christβ€”but we must stand in it.

POSITION β€” SEATED, NOT STRIVING
Ephesians 2:6
The believer fights from victory, not for victory.

A. Seated in Christ – Our position is secure
Ephesians 2:6
B. Settled Salvation – No fear of condemnation
Romans 8:1
C. Standing Stance – Warfare flows from assurance
Colossians 2:10
Dispensational Insight:
We do not battle to winβ€”we battle because we are already complete in Him.

PERSUADER β€” SATAN, THE DECEIVER
2 Corinthians 11:3
The enemy attacks through lies, not force.

A. Subtle Lies – Corrupting simplicity in Christ
2 Corinthians 11:3
B. Spiritual Counterfeits – False light, false truth
2 Corinthians 11:14
C. Scriptural Defense – Truth exposes deception

Ephesians 6:14
Dispensational Insight:
Satan’s primary weapon is doctrinal confusion.

PRESSURE β€” CONSTANT, NOT CASUAL
1 Peter 5:8 (illustrative)
Attacks are continuous, not occasional.

A. Persistent Assaults – No ceasefire
Ephesians 6:13
B. Psychological Pressure – Fear, doubt, guilt
Romans 8:15
C. Pauline Stability – Sound doctrine steadies
2 Timothy 1:7
Dispensational Insight:
Pressure increases when doctrine decreases.

PLAYGROUND β€” THE MIND

2 Corinthians 10:3–5
The war is fought in thoughts and beliefs.

A. Imaginations Attacked – Strongholds of thinking
2 Corinthians 10:5
B. Ideas Exalted – Against knowledge of God
Romans 1:21
C. Instruction Applied – Renewed mind wins
Romans 12:2
Dispensational Insight:
Change doctrine, and behavior follows.

PROTECTION β€” THE ARMOR OF GRACE
Ephesians 6:13–17
God provides complete protection.

A. Truth Belted – Doctrine holds everything
Ephesians 6:14
B. Righteous Standing – Position, not performance
Romans 5:1
C. Word Sword – Scripture rightly divided
2 Timothy 2:15
Dispensational Insight:
Armor is put on by believing truth, not by rituals.

PERSISTENCE β€” RESIST, NOT RETREAT
James 4:7 (principle applied)
Victory requires resistance.

A. Resist the Devil – Stand firm
Ephesians 6:13
B. Refuse Falsehood – Reject lies instantly
Colossians 2:8
C. Rest in Christ – Confidence fuels courage
Romans 8:31
Dispensational Insight:
Resistance is doctrinal firmness, not emotional hype.

POWER β€” IN CHRIST, NOT SELF
Philippians 4:13
Strength comes from union with Christ.

A. Personal Weakness – Acknowledged
2 Corinthians 12:9
B. Pauline Strength – Christ within
Colossians 1:27
C. Practical Victory – Walking by faith
Galatians 2:20
Dispensational Insight:
The Christian life is Christ living through us, not us striving for Him.

PURPOSE β€” STAND, NOT PANIC
Ephesians 6:13
Our command is clear: stand.

A. Stand in Truth – Doctrinal clarity
1 Corinthians 16:13
B. Stand in Liberty – Grace, not bondage
Galatians 5:1
C. Stand in Hope – Confident expectation
Romans 8:24–25
Dispensational Insight:
Standing requires assurance, not anxiety.

PROMISE β€” VICTORY IS OURS
Romans 8:37
The outcome is already settled.

A. Conquerors in Christ – More than victors
Romans 8:37
B. Condemnation Removed – No defeat possible
Romans 8:33–34
C. Completion Guaranteed – Glory ahead
Philippians 1:6
Dispensational Insight:
The war ragesβ€”but the winner is already declared.

CONCLUSION

Spiritual warfare is realβ€”but so is grace victory.
We do not fight demons
We do not chase experiences
We stand on truth
We resist lies
We rest in Christ

CALL TO ACTION

Stand firm in doctrine
Study rightly divided Scripture
Reject Satan’s lies
Rest in Christ’s finished work
Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)

FINAL THOUGHTS

The enemy is real
The attacks are constant
The lies must be resisted
The victory is already ours in Christ
We are not defeated soldiersβ€”we are seated
sons.
Stand fast. The battle belongs to the Lord, but the victory is revealed in grace.
