WITHOUT CHRIST, WE HAVE NO HOPE

(The Absolute Necessity of the Gospel of Grace)

INTRODUCTION

The world talks about hope, but Scripture defines true hope. According to the Apostle Paul, before faith in Christ’s finished work, we were “having no hope, and without God in the world” (Eph. 2:12).
Religion offers rituals. Philosophy offers ideas. Morality offers effort. Only Christ offers hope.

Today, we will see NINE REASONS why WITHOUT JESUS CHRIST, THERE IS NO HOPE—AT ALL.

HOPELESS IN FORGIVENESS
Ephesians 1:7

A. Sin Still Charged – Without Christ, sins remain unforgiven
Colossians 2:13
B. Sacrifice Still Required – No blood, no remission
Hebrews 9:22
C. Sentence Still Active – Condemnation remains
Romans 3:19
Dispensational Truth:
Forgiveness today comes only through Christ’s blood, not confession booths or rituals.

HOPELESS IN RECONCILIATION
Romans 5:10

A. Enemies by Nature – Alienated from God
Colossians 1:21
B. Estranged by Sin – No peace with God
Isaiah 59:2
C. Excluded from Fellowship – No access

Dispensational Truth:
Reconciliation is a Pauline revelation, accomplished at the Cross.

HOPELESS IN JUSTIFICATION
Romans 3:24

A. Guilty Before the Law – No one righteous

B. Good Works Insufficient – Law cannot justify

C. Grace Not Applied – Faith required

Dispensational Truth:
Justification today is by faith alone, not faith plus works.

HOPELESS IN SANCTIFICATION

A. Still in Adam – Old nature dominates

Sanctification begins after salvation, not before it.

HOPELESS IN RESURRECTION

Resurrection hope belongs to those in Christ, not in religion.

HOPELESS IN SALVATION

A. Lost by Nature – Dead in sins

B. Law Cannot Save – No flesh justified

C. Faith Required – Belief is the issue

Dispensational Truth:
Salvation today is a free gift, not earned or maintained by works.

HOPELESS IN HEAVEN

A. No Access – Christ is the only way

B. No Adoption – Not children of God

C. No Inheritance – Outside the promise

Dispensational Truth:
Heaven is promised to the Body of Christ, not all mankind.

HOPELESS IN LIFE
Ecclesiastes 1:14

A. Empty Purpose – Life without meaning

B. Endless Anxiety – No peace

C. Eternal Uncertainty – No assurance

Dispensational Truth:
Assurance is found only in Christ, not in perseverance.

HOPELESS IN ETERNITY

A. Separation from God – Everlasting loss

C. Salvation Rejected – Consequences remain

Dispensational Truth:
Eternal destiny is settled by belief or unbelief, not sincerity.

CONCLUSION

Without Christ:
No forgiveness
No reconciliation
No justification
No resurrection
No salvation
No heaven
NO HOPE. PERIOD.

But IN CHRIST:
Full forgiveness
Complete reconciliation
Eternal life guaranteed

CALL TO ACTION

Believe — Not behave
Trust — Not try
Rest — In the finished work
If you’ve believed the Gospel, stand fast in grace.
If you haven’t, believe today.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Grace is not a backup plan.
Paul’s Gospel is not optional.
Jesus Christ is not one of many hopes.

HE IS THE ONLY HOPE.
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27
