WITHOUT CHRIST, WE HAVE NO HOPE

(The Absolute Necessity of the Gospel of Grace)
Key Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)
Supporting Text: Ephesians 2:12

INTRODUCTION

The world talks about hope, but Scripture defines true hope. According to the Apostle Paul, before faith in Christ’s finished work, we were β€œhaving no hope, and without God in the world” (Eph. 2:12).
Religion offers rituals. Philosophy offers ideas. Morality offers effort. Only Christ offers hope.

Today, we will see NINE REASONS why WITHOUT JESUS CHRIST, THERE IS NO HOPEβ€”AT ALL.

HOPELESS IN FORGIVENESS
Ephesians 1:7

A. Sin Still Charged – Without Christ, sins remain unforgiven
Colossians 2:13
B. Sacrifice Still Required – No blood, no remission
Hebrews 9:22
C. Sentence Still Active – Condemnation remains
Romans 3:19
Dispensational Truth:
Forgiveness today comes only through Christ’s blood, not confession booths or rituals.

HOPELESS IN RECONCILIATION
Romans 5:10

A. Enemies by Nature – Alienated from God
Colossians 1:21
B. Estranged by Sin – No peace with God
Isaiah 59:2
C. Excluded from Fellowship – No access
Ephesians 2:12
Dispensational Truth:
Reconciliation is a Pauline revelation, accomplished at the Cross.

HOPELESS IN JUSTIFICATION
Romans 3:24

A. Guilty Before the Law – No one righteous
Romans 3:10
B. Good Works Insufficient – Law cannot justify
Galatians 2:16
C. Grace Not Applied – Faith required
Romans 4:5
Dispensational Truth:
Justification today is by faith alone, not faith plus works.

HOPELESS IN SANCTIFICATION
1 Corinthians 6:11

A. Still in Adam – Old nature dominates
Romans 5:12
B. Spirit Absent – No new life
Romans 8:9
C. Sin Reigning – No victory
Romans 6:14
Dispensational Truth:
Sanctification begins after salvation, not before it.

HOPELESS IN RESURRECTION
1 Corinthians 15:22

A. Death Still Victorious – Grave undefeated
Hebrews 2:14
B. Destiny Still Corruption – No glorified body
1 Corinthians 15:53
C. Defeat Still Final – No triumph
1 Corinthians 15:26
Dispensational Truth:
Resurrection hope belongs to those in Christ, not in religion.

HOPELESS IN SALVATION
Ephesians 2:8–9

A. Lost by Nature – Dead in sins
Ephesians 2:1
B. Law Cannot Save – No flesh justified
Romans 3:20
C. Faith Required – Belief is the issue
Acts 16:31
Dispensational Truth:
Salvation today is a free gift, not earned or maintained by works.

HOPELESS IN HEAVEN
John 14:6

A. No Access – Christ is the only way
John 10:9
B. No Adoption – Not children of God
Galatians 3:26
C. No Inheritance – Outside the promise
Ephesians 1:11
Dispensational Truth:
Heaven is promised to the Body of Christ, not all mankind.

HOPELESS IN LIFE
Ecclesiastes 1:14

A. Empty Purpose – Life without meaning
Ecclesiastes 2:11
B. Endless Anxiety – No peace
Isaiah 57:21
C. Eternal Uncertainty – No assurance
Romans 8:1
Dispensational Truth:
Assurance is found only in Christ, not in perseverance.

HOPELESS IN ETERNITY
2 Thessalonians 1:9

A. Separation from God – Everlasting loss
Matthew 25:46
B. Second Death Certain – Lake of fire
Revelation 20:14
C. Salvation Rejected – Consequences remain
John 3:18
Dispensational Truth:
Eternal destiny is settled by belief or unbelief, not sincerity.

CONCLUSION

Without Christ:
No forgiveness
No reconciliation
No justification
No resurrection
No salvation
No heaven
NO HOPE. PERIOD.

But IN CHRIST:
Full forgiveness
Complete reconciliation
Eternal life guaranteed
1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)
This is the Gospel that saves today.
