WHY YOU CAN’T LOSE SALVATION UNDER GRACE

(A Dispensational, Pauline Defense of Eternal Security)

INTRODUCTION

One of the greatest fears taught in many churches today is the fear of losing salvation. This fear is not produced by the gospel of graceβ€”it is produced by mixing law with grace (Galatians 2:21).

When salvation is misunderstood, assurance is lost. But when the Bible is rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15), the believer in this Dispensation of Grace can have absolute security.
Salvation is not fragileβ€”it is finished.

PURCHASED BY GRACE
Ephesians 2:8–9

A. Unmerited Gift – Salvation is received, not achieved
B. Unearned Favor – No human effort contributes
C. Unlosable Standing – What you didn’t earn, you can’t lose
Dispensational Insight:
Grace excludes boasting and fear.

PRODUCED BY REGENERATION
2 Corinthians 5:17

A. New Creation – Not reformed, but reborn
B. New Identity – In Christ, not in Adam
C. No Reversal – Birth cannot be undone
You don’t get β€œun-born” spiritually.

PRESERVED BY THE SPIRIT
Ephesians 1:13–14

A. Sealed Permanently – Not temporarily
B. Secured Personally – God does the sealing
C. Safeguarded Until Redemption – Not until failure
The Spirit is not a rentalβ€”He is a seal.

PRONOUNCED BY GOD
Romans 8:30

A. Justified – Declared righteous
B. Glorified – Spoken in past tense
C. Guaranteed – God finishes what He starts
Heaven is already settled in God’s decree.

PROTECTED BY DIVINE LOVE
Romans 8:38–39

A. No Separation – Not sin, not Satan
B. No Condemnation – Romans 8:1
C. No Power Greater Than God – Ever
God doesn’t divorce His children.

PROVIDED AS A GIFT
Romans 6:23

A. Eternal Life Is Given – Not loaned
B. Eternal Means Eternal – Not conditional
C. God Never Takes Back His Gift – Romans 11:29
If it ends, it was never eternal.

POSITIONED IN CHRIST
1 Corinthians 1:30

A. In Christ – Not in self
B. Complete in Him – Colossians 2:10
C. Accepted Forever – Ephesians 1:6
God sees you in His Son, not in your struggles.

PROVEN BY THE CROSS
Hebrews 10:14

A. One Sacrifice – No repetition
B. One Payment – Fully sufficient
C. One Perfection – Forever
If salvation could be lost, Christ would need to die again.

PROCLAIMED BY PAUL
Romans 4:5

A. Faith Alone – No works added
B. Grace Alone – No law mixed
C. Assurance Alone – No fear required
Paul never taught probationβ€”he taught assurance.

CONCLUSION

Salvation under grace is:
Not maintained by works
Not preserved by obedience
Not sustained by performance
It is kept by God Himself.

To say you can lose salvation is to say:
Christ’s work was insufficient
God’s promise was conditional
The Spirit’s seal was breakable
None of those are biblical.

CALL TO ACTION

Stop fearing lossβ€”start living in liberty
Stop trusting performanceβ€”trust the promise
Stop mixing law with graceβ€”rightly divide

β€œStudy to shew thyself approved unto God…”
β€” 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

Grace secures eternally
Grace seals permanently
Grace silences fear
Grace magnifies Christ
