INTRODUCTION

Truth is not designed to comfort the flesh—it is designed to confront bondage.
Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).
Yet many want peace without pain, comfort without correction, and freedom without truth. In every dispensation, truth has always offended before it liberated.

Today, we will examine 9 Dispensational Truths showing how God’s truth wounds pride, breaks chains, and brings liberty—especially in this Dispensation of Grace.

PROCLAMATION OF TRUTH
John 17:17 – “Thy word is truth.”

A. Divine Source – Truth originates with God, not culture
B. Definite Standard – Truth does not change with feelings
C. Declared Scripture – God reveals truth through His Word
Dispensational Insight: Truth must be identified before it can be rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15).

PENETRATION OF TRUTH
Hebrews 4:12

A. Piercing Power – Truth cuts deeper than emotion
B. Personal Exposure – Truth reveals hidden bondage
C. Precise Judgment – Truth discerns motives, not appearances
Truth hurts because it touches what sin hides.

PRIDE OFFENDED BY TRUTH
John 8:33

A. Self-Righteous Resistance – “We were never in bondage”

Truth offends those who think they are already free.

PRISON OF SIN
John 8:34

In every dispensation, sin enslaves, but the method of deliverance differs.

PERSON OF DELIVERANCE
John 8:36

B. Son’s Accomplishment – Finished work, not effort
C. Son’s Assurance – Freedom is real and complete
Grace Truth: Freedom today is positional, not probationary.

PAULINE REVELATION OF LIBERTY
Galatians 5:1

B. Liberty Defended – Stand fast in grace
C. Liberty Distorted – Legalism brings bondage

POSITIONAL FREEDOM IN CHRIST

Truth sets free before behavior changes.

PRACTICAL OFFENSE OF GRACE
Galatians 1:6–7

A. Grace Offends Religion – No works allowed
B. Grace Offends Pride – No boasting permitted
C. Grace Offends False Gospels – Only one saving message
The truth of grace is offensive because it removes human contribution.

PERMANENT FREEDOM THROUGH BELIEF
Ephesians 1:13

B. Sealed Believer – Eternal security
C. Guaranteed Inheritance – Not temporary freedom
Freedom is secured, not sustained by effort.

CONCLUSION

Truth is not a weapon of cruelty—it is an instrument of liberation.
It may offend your pride.
It may hurt your traditions.
But it will break your chains.
Bondage thrives in ignorance.
Freedom thrives in truth rightly divided.
