PRESERVED AND PURIFIED β€” GOD’S PERFECT WORD THROUGH THE AGES

(Psalm 12:6–7, KJV)

INTRODUCTION

Psalm 12:6–7 declares that God’s words are pure, purified seven times, and preserved forever. In a dispensationalist framework, we affirm that God progressively revealed His truth, yet never lost, corrupted, or abandoned His Word. This message celebrates divine preservation, culminating in a trustworthy Bible for todayβ€”rightly divided and confidently proclaimed.

God pledged preservation, not probability.

PRESERVED WORD
God kept His Word for every generation.

Divine Keeping – β€œThou shalt keep them” (Ps. 12:7).
Divine Guarding – Not left to men alone (Isa. 59:21).
Divine Guarantee – Preserved forever (Ps. 119:89).
Verses: Psalm 12:7; Isaiah 59:21; Psalm 119:89

PROGRESSIVE WORD
God revealed truth in stages, not contradictions.

Patriarchal Period – Promise (Gen. 12:1–3).
Prophetic Period – Law and Kingdom hope (Rom. 3:1–2).
Pauline Period – Mystery revealed (Eph. 3:1–5).
Verses: Genesis 12:1–3; Romans 3:1–2; Ephesians 3:1–5

PAULINE WORD

God gave doctrine for today through Paul.

Apostolic Appointment – Paul to Gentiles (Rom. 11:13).

Doctrinal Clarity – Body of Christ truth (Col. 1:25–27).
Verses: Romans 11:13; Romans 2:16; Colossians 1:25–27

PROVEN WORD
God’s Word stands against criticism and corruption.

Historical Continuity – Faithful transmission (Isa. 40:8).
Spiritual Consistency – One message of grace today (1 Cor. 15:1–4).
Supernatural Confirmation – Living and powerful (Heb. 4:12).
Verses: Isaiah 40:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Hebrews 4:12

POWERFUL WORD
God’s Word produces salvation and stability.

Salvation – Faith comes by hearing (Rom. 10:17).
Sanctification – Truth sets apart (John 17:17).
Strength – Establishes believers (Acts 20:32).
Verses: Romans 10:17; John 17:17; Acts 20:32

PRACTICAL WORD
God’s Word equips believers for godly living.

Instruction – Profitable doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16).
Correction – Aligns conduct (Titus 2:11–12).
Direction – Walk worthy (Col. 2:6–7).
Verses: 2 Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:11–12; Colossians 2:6–7

PRAISED WORD
God’s Word ultimately glorifies Christ.

Results in Glory – To Him be praise (Rom. 16:25–27).
Verses: Luke 24:27; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 16:25–27
