THE INVISIBLE, SUPERNATURAL OPERATION OF GOD IN CHRIST

(From IN ADAM to IN CHRIST)

INTRODUCTION

Salvation is not a ritual, a reform, or a religious feeling. According to the Apostle Paul, salvation is an invisible, supernatural operation of God performed in Christ, by grace, through faith in His blood (Rom. 3:25; Col. 2:12).

In this Dispensation of Grace, God does a spiritual work without handsβ€”moving a sinner from Adam to Christ, from death to life, from condemnation to glory.

THE FALLEN CONDITION IN ADAM
Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1

A. Sin-Inherited Nature β€” All born in Adam
B. Spiritually Dead State β€” Dead in trespasses
C. Separated Standing β€” Cut off from God

Man’s problem is not behaviorβ€”it is birth.

THE FATAL CONDEMNATION OF SIN
Romans 3:19; Romans 6:23

A. Universal Guilt β€” All the world guilty
B. Unavoidable Judgment β€” The wages of sin
C. Utter Helplessness β€” No self-rescue possible

Condemnation is a condition, not merely an outcome.

THE FINISHED CROSS OF CHRIST
1 Corinthians 15:3; Colossians 1:20

A. Substitutionary Death β€” β€œFor our sins”
B. Satisfactory Payment β€” God fully pleased
C. Scriptural Fulfillment β€” According to the Scriptures

The cross completed what sinners could never do.

THE FAITH-IN-HIS-BLOOD REQUIREMENT
Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:22

A. Blood Essential β€” Without shedding no remission
B. Belief Essential β€” Faith, not works
C. Barrier Removed β€” God’s wrath satisfied

Salvation flows through faith in His blood, not effort.

THE FIGURATIVE CIRCUMCISION OF CHRIST
Colossians 2:11; Romans 2:29

A. Without Hands β€” A spiritual operation
B. Flesh Put Off β€” Sin nature judged
C. Forever Accomplished β€” Not repeated

God cuts the believer free from Adamic identity.

THE FORMAL BURIAL WITH CHRIST
Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12

A. Old Man Buried β€” Adamic position ended
B. Obedient Identification β€” United with Christ
C. Objective Reality β€” Not symbolic only

Burial proves separation from the old life.

THE FUTURE-SECURED RESURRECTION LIFE
Romans 6:5; Colossians 3:1

A. Raised with Christ β€” New spiritual life
B. Reigning Potential β€” Seated in heavenly places
C. Resurrection Assurance β€” Future glorification guaranteed

Resurrection life begins now, not later.

THE FREE JUSTIFICATION BY GRACE
Romans 3:24; Titus 3:5

A. Gift Declared β€” Freely justified
B. Grace Displayed β€” Not by works
C. Grounded Permanence β€” Eternal standing

Justification is God’s verdict, not man’s effort.

THE FINAL DESTINATION IN CHRIST
Colossians 1:12–13; Romans 8:30

A. Delivered from Darkness β€” No longer condemned
B. Destined for Heaven β€” Seated in Christ
C. Determined Glory β€” Glorification assured

Those in Christ are already citizens of heaven.

FINAL THOUGHTS

In Adam = death
In Christ = life
Salvation is supernatural
Blood alone satisfies God
Circumcision is spiritual, not physical
Identity changes instantly
Works add nothing
Grace secures everything
Heaven is guaranteed

CONCLUSION

Salvation is God’s work, not man’s will.
It is invisible, spiritual, eternal, and complete.

β€œBy grace are ye saved through faith…” (Ephesians 2:8)

From condemned sinner in Adam
to saved saint in Christ
by faith in His blood alone
