“Pushing Others Down Won’t Lift You Up” Genesis 4:1–16

 

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

From the very beginning of human history, God established one unchanging truth: acceptance with God is never achieved by destroying others, but by believing what God has revealed. Cain thought eliminating Abel would remove the problem—but the real problem was Cain’s unbelief.

In every dispensation, God honors faith, not force; obedience, not oppression. This message exposes the danger of religious envy, fleshly pride, and works-based righteousness.

Hebrews 11:4 — “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice…”

 

THE PROBLEM OF PRIDE

Genesis 4:5

A. Rejected Offering – Cain’s sacrifice was not accepted because it lacked faith. Romans 10:17

Cain tried to rise by pushing Abel down—but God never lifts the flesh. From Genesis to Grace, the message is clear: God accepts faith, not envy; obedience, not oppression; Christ, not cruelty.
